I traded a 3rd for Rinaldo? As in "Zac Rinaldo?" Christ, I' never going to another Phish concert...

1. Streit. If Kaberle could get a first, a prospect, and a conditional pick at 800 years old from a rival team, I'd think Streit could get similar or better if healthy.
2. Read. Very good 2-way player, but he's not producing enough for his cap hit and is passing his career prime. Would be a great addition to a contender's 3rd line.
3. Luke Schenn - Big, RHD, 1 year left. Could be a good addition to a bottom-4 if paired with a good puck mover.

JVR was the 2nd overall pick, and rated far higher as a player than Simmonds.

I still believe JvR to be the better player of the two. Simmonds is just the tougher and more gritty of the two.

@davegisaac: Jake Voracek will go back on the top line with Michael Raffl and Claude Giroux.
