They don't have poop that I'd want for Simmonds. |

Not buying it unless the Habs are willing to significantly overpay |

It's rumored to be Beaulieu and Andrighetto. |

I like both guys, but not sure that either fills a need for the Flyers |

I'd want a LW coming back and if Beaulieu is returning piece, I feel one of our defensemen prospects would be on the move elsewhere? |

MacDonald or someone else would only have to be sent back down. I wouldn't be surprised to see Streit return ahead of schedule. - MJL
I think Schenn and Streit could return right after the six-day Xmas break. But it would be silly to rush either of them back before then, when they are both potential trade chips.

So that's at least two weeks and seven games for one of the Phantoms two best dmen this season to be on the Flyers. |

Bealieu is similar to a lot of the current defense, but young and good. Instead of Andrighetto, I'd like Charles Hudon. |

Yeah, he was the other prospect I was thinking of, along with Hudon. Couldn't think of his name. Hell, maybe add Streit and get both prospects and Beaulieu |

If Hextall pulls that one off it would be pretty amazing. |

As they increase their talent level, and add better players, that will be of less importance. Not to say it will no longer be important. They were flat as a team last night, and that brings their warts out in full bloom. - MJL
This is true.
Increasing the talent/depth will increase the nightly margin for error, and lower the reliance on riding high on emotion.

Agreed. Only players I'd want are MaxPac, Subban, and Price, and that's not even remotely close to happening. |

Yeah, I'd be fine with either one.
Alt is probably the better choice since they have to make a decision on his future this summer.
I checked and he's already 24 years old... give the kid a chance before he's no longer a kid. |

Probably a prospect going back, maybe a guy like Laughton or Cousins or even Morin. Hudon & McCarron are among their top prospects, and Beaulieu is a 23 year old who has a good all around game and potential. |

I dont think I would do Morin or Laughton but I think I could manage Cousins
Streit + Simmonds + Cousins
Beaulieu + Mccarron + Hudon
Not a bad deal but I would probably try to move Simmonds out west first then sending him to Montreal. |

i find this emotion narrative as lazy as the goaltending narrative. The flyers have become a soft team. they beat the penguins alot because theyre soft as well and fleury was an absolute sieve in that series. In the devils series, the devils were strong on their forecheck and didn't give the flyers forwards free reign. if you need emotion roll a goon out there to fight.[/img] |

Yeah, it'd be better to send him to San Jose or Calgary, but he's a guy you sell to get a significant return, not a guy you really shop. Only way I'd "shop" Simmonds is to wait until another GM makes an offer, and then maybe start offering him around to drive the price up or start a bidding war. |

Moving Simmonds out West would be my first instinct, as well, but at least Montreal isn't in our division.
I'd move him to Montreal in the right deal. |

I wouldn't mind McCarron, but not awed bu Hudon, who'd be preferred due to being a LW. I wouldn't wanna give up Laughton or Morin, would prefer to not make the deal at all. |

Think we could get Pavelski for him? After all, Pavelski is one of the few "elite" players in the league. |
