I think we see ullmark coming out of the intermission, but not because he has been terrible. The sabres have been sleepwalking since they scored.

I've seen three separate tragedies from McCabe tonight.

I wish we had a Connor/Jack match up tonight.

Why so you could be down 5-1 instead??

Sabres need to wake up. If the oilers ever want to trade eberle im for it. We need a guy like him to play with eichel who goes to the dirty areas, finds open ice AND buries it.
- ieetbred

Well said

He's a scorer with fantastic hands

Aside from the losses exasperating oiler fans, we often struggle to get to the tough areas. This isn't ebs forte, so peeps tend to hate. And as most smallish scorers go, he has stretches where he's silent. But at the same time- he also goes unconscious for stretches.

He's a typical true scorer, if he has space, he's gonna make ya pay more often than not.

And ebs most likely is very much on the block

Yeah, gotta think they'll bring in Ullmark. Too much standing around and sloppy defensive play. They need to be better.

They always sleepwalk the 1st period. So, I'm not too worried yet.

Defensively it has been somewhat of a trainwreck. I feel they come out much stronger and get back in it. This team has been struggling in the first period all season.

McCabe has to stop tripping over his himself; no defensive awareness in their own zone (Franson 2nd goal); Johnson overcommitting on everything and not sure how he fanned on the 1st goal, worst period I've seen in a while for O'Reilly; Gionta was good

Well what can I say. A couple of your douche bag posters had 18 pages on our thread about how much better the sabres were than us.

Not to mention how many guys we're missing! Buffalo is headed the right direction but it's a bit early to say that one franchise will be much farther ahead of the other in 2-3 years time. My 2 cents

Something the sabres dont have, aside from eichel who i wouldnt just consider a pure scorer. He is our best scorer but has so much more to offer.

While it may not be his forte. without seeing first hand i kind of find it hard to believe he doesnt get to tough areas. The rate he has scored at in this league suggests he gets to the dirty areas more than id assume people give him credit for.
