Eichel probably ate it up when the Oilers fans booed him after the announcement of the starting lineups. Why the hate, Oiler fan? Is there some buyer's remorse? Are Oilers fans wishing that they selected Eichel instead of McDavid with the first overall pick in the 2015 NHL Draft?

I love when people bash intentional tanking. It makes me smile knowing at the very least, this organization has a plan.

I would take intentional tanking for a year or two, aquiring assets and moving them to improve sooner than later over being perpetually bad with some strange reluctance to move a few high picks/players from areas of strength to address weaknesses every time.

The oilers problems remain the same every year and continually roll out essentially the same team plus their newest 1st overall year after year.

Honestly, id rather be stuck in the run to 9th darcy days than what the oilers have been since pronger bolted.

It has to suck, and i feel bad for their fans. I believe the sabres truly need one more top 3-5 pick to really complete the rebuild and after this season regardless of where we finish and draft, i expect continual improvement.

Im not worried about it. More of a general rant, that happened to have the oilers in sight instead of a leaf fan

Out of curiosity how is any reference i made about the oilers incorrect? Save for the last year with new management (finally, and im happy for you guys to not be stuck with that garbage anymore) and drafting the most hyped generational player maybe ever it is all right in front of us.

I actually wouldnt mind finishing low again and drafting high once more. But in 5 years if there is no improvment i would certainly hope management has exhausted every option to try.
