What puzzles me about the sabres is they added O'Reilly, Eichel, Kane,Reinhart, Franson, bogosian etc to their line-up this year but yet only two pts ahead of the Leafs and only 5 pts more then they had last year at this time.
Seems like they should be much better. |

Its a fineable play but it wadnt horrible. In reality what is a fine to a kid who has made some 20 million dollars? Im more upset about the kick in goal and the elbow. |

What puzzles you? New team takes time to mesh throw on some lenghthy injuries and some bad bounces. Still a very good corsi team that outshoots and outpossesses the opponents most nights. Were competitive but still a few years away from being dominanat but we have a good core. Do this help ya? |

We were 14 pts worse than the leafs last year. Id say the turnover is as expected. |

you just mentioned the addition of five new players...add in four more who were not on the team last year plus a new head coach and a new system and it equals an adjustment period early on |

They should be. And eventually will be.
Problem is the veterans on this team are the worst players
Legwand
Moulson
Gionta
Bogosian
All are not playing very well or not producing. If those players play to the level they are paid or expected to, this team has 3 or 4 more wins IMO

that elbow by sekera to Eichel's face could've been called...methinks Eichel will have learned from it |

they're struggling big-time, especially on defense and in goal...having Pysyk and McCabe with Buffalo doesn't help either |

They are currently consistently inconsistent, which I fully expected this year. Especially during the first half of the season. This year is about building and making strides, and they've done that in leaps and bounds.
No complaints from me. While the outcomes may not be in our favor, the actual game play is about 1,000 times better this year. |

idk, Brodie...legwand's playing as expected in his fourth-line role...Bogosian gets a lot of flack but methinks it's more of people scrutinizing his every move--he hasn't bothered me nearly as much as everyone else...
that said, moulson's a disappointment and Gionta should be on the third line...both should be on reinhart's wings |

Dating back to that nashville game he's been on the wrong end of some head scratching goals against. Normally this wouldn't bother me as much but he's got 4 more years at 5+ mil. |

I hadn't minded his play or Colaiacovo's play....until they got paired together. Seems since that happened they're both kind of a tire fire. |

He's been hurt, and since he's been back is getting scored on per 60 minutes at a very high rate. He hasn't had a great start |

yeah, agreed...but i'm ok with that...some of the grief he takes is unwarranted as the play around him catches him in a bad spot...example...last night on the eberle goal, reinhart had his pocket picked and rnh fed eberle who got behind him...I can't really blame bogo on that |

Points wise we are where we were at the end of 2014 already so with 3 weeks and roughly 10 games to go before the end of 2015 I'm pretty happy with what I've seen....
Because I haven't turned the TV off yet like I already had this time last year. |

Bogo and Kane are bandaids. Too bad. Both solid players. Buffalo will get better as the season goes on. Without looking at the point totals, Buffalo looks to be miles ahead of last year's team. Risto is really ermerging into a player (as expected). I also expect to see Reinhart making more strides by the end of the year. He was all over the net last night.
Hope you guys win tonight!
Our turn to get back in the lottery. |

edmonton had the matchups they wanted. Buffalo needed the pp In a big way and we needed a little puck luck. We had 3 posts, all clean shots that beat the goalie and edmonton had a marginal kick in goal and a dirty wrist shot from the point that had eyes. Were gonna lose puck pattles sometimes and give up goals so im not upset about anybody in particular, we just didnt get the breaks. |

moulson is playing less then 15 minutes per game and on pace for 33 points, typical third liner with an even +/-
bogo is bogo, love him or hate him, he is doing exactly what he did last year and is a presence they need on the blue line, IMO he needs a better partner (mccabe or pysyk)
legwand is putting up a point in every 3 games playing less then 10 minutes a night, I have zero issues with him
gionta needs to be playing 14 minutes a night, not 20

He will look better in a 3rd-4th role when we get another good defensemen here.
