If you factor in contract I believe he is unless someone gives me some sort of evidence to the contrary. - Sabresfan-365
He was one of the few D getting their shots through last night, made the pass to set up O'Reilly's goal. Why do you think he is playing with Colaiacovo? To cover his butt. Hey, he is a #3, can be a #2 I'll give him a bit more time since he had no training camp because you guys were jumping on him after his first period. He is a solid part of the D. It's funny out of all the players on the team he is the only one you and sbroads care about how they're play matches up with Pegula's money. Manufactured BS is what it is. |

I remember that one, yes he should have gotten at least 2.
My point is it is bad for everyone but it almost seems like they are out to get Edmonton this year. Far more questionable calls going against the Oilers than for them, this year. It's not even close. - Aerchon
It just seems that way sometimes with high-flying, high-scoring teams. I remember one the 06/07 Sabres had an unstoppable offense and that season it seemed like the Sabres not only need to beat the other team but the refs too. |

It's not manufactured bs. It's a cap world, value is everything these days. That's not to say Bogo is the only one guilty of bad play, but he's making a lot and has some term too it. Hopefully he gets better as the team gets deeper. |

Borgen invited to team usa camp - Sabresfan-365
Huge for him to get his name out there.
It's extremely early but it's great to see this class excel together Giorgio Estephan has overachieved, Gulhe with a strong camp.
Devante Stephens- was the one i thought was going to break out, but I'll take the others |

Was going to type this.
Bogo is a former 3rd overall pick on a 7 year 5+ mil deal. I expect him to be better than Franson or Gorges, and he hasn't been (Yet) |

Great points. It's not that he's bad but when you see doughty who was taken a pick before I get sour too.
To his defense he did miss all of training camp as well. Dan said he was an animal over the summer (best player on the ice). He had a bad screw up on the eberle goal but i though he rebounded nicely the second half and earn that pp time.

Yea he's not a bad player.
But my original post was not to bash him, it's more than the veterans on this team other than O'Reilly, McGinn, Gorges to am extent, Kane to am extent, have been lacking when things aren't going right.
When was the last time we were struggling and Moulson came up with a big goal? |

He's been very good, i don't think he'll make it but it's encouraging. If he builds on it he could be a lock next year depending on how good the crop of d-men is for usa. |

I've been behind Moulson since we signed him... that said it's getting hard to defend him. The main problem is he needs a playmaker to play with yet he hasn't produced with them. And you can't put him in the bottom six because he relies on his line mates too much.
My 'last' hope is for ennis to come back and have them together either
9-90-23
26-15-63
22-28-12/88
or
9-90-23
88-15-12
26-28-63
After the way ennis finished the season/ Worlds championships i have a good feeling this injury may have been more nagging than we thought.

Burn one around game time...it will wake you up for 1-1/2 to 2 hrs...then slowly fade...perfect timing.
And turn the sound down and put on some Wide Spread Panic ... live from Athens Georgia.
Combo will change your life! |

McCabe had probably his worst game as a pro last night. I think he misses playing with Pysyk. I think he'll have a better game tonight. |

I know some of you are having kittens over Moulson and Bogosian's play. I'm not as concerned because I want to look at the team as a whole and this was pretty much on course for how we thought they would be.
Moulson has had some bad shifts and the line juggling he's going through with Bylsma doesn't seem to help. When he had consistent linemates (Girgs, Ennis) he played well. He has 4 goals and 7 assists on the season. It ain't great but it isn't awful either.
Bogo missed literally all of camp and it will take him some time to get back up to speed and I even wonder if he's not even 100%.
The team laid an egg last night but we are only 2 games below .500 on the season. I don't think it's as bad as some paint it. Just looking at it a bit positive.
My 2 cents. |

Good thoughts MHP.
Even last nights game was fun to watch compared to last year.
Moulson does look out of place....I wish Bylsma would put him with Larson and Gionta on the 3rd and put Girgs on the right with Eichel...let that combo simmer for a few games. Wasn't 26-22-12 a line for like the last 10 games of the season, and they played pretty good if I'm remembering correctly.
If those combos click, then I'm not sure what to do when Ennis comes back, but Bylsma can deal with that then...maybe rotate Larson, Girgensons and Ennis around until something hits.
In any even, looking forward to another game tonight...
Gonna take my own advice posted above.

Yeah he made a ton of bad decisions last night. Franson is on my radar now. Bad defender and going full blown zhitnik on the pp. he needs to blast 1 in baaadly. |

I would like Girgs with Eichel as well.
McGinn-Eichel-Girgs
Moulson-Larsson-Gionta
Foligno-Legwand-Deslauriers
Where that puts Ennis, not really sure either. |

Yes he has been. You need to work on your D man evaluations because you usually crash and burn on them, ahem, there was this player named Myers that you were all gushy over that didn't deserve the kisses. Just follow my lead and you'll go far |

According to Kris Baker, he's a bit of a surprise. Karabacek also got an invite for the Czech team. |

Aside from losing, I don't remember much from last year, but I feel like Moulson-Girgensons-Ennis was a good combo. I think I would put them together.
9-90-12 (I'm not a Gionta fan, but Eichel needs 23)
88-15-23
26-28-63 (Larsson until he's healthy)
82-17-44
Trade Ennis. Buy out Moulson. |

This is why i've soured on him as our lead prospect guy. He's one of the few who is actually surprised by this. I've only read about and seen Borgen play once but those who cover him regularly have been listing him as a potential invitee for some time now.
Karabacek is a lock so long as he doesn't sleep in. |
