Aside from losing, I don't remember much from last year, but I feel like Moulson-Girgensons-Ennis was a good combo. I think I would put them together.
9-90-12 (I'm not a Gionta fan, but Eichel needs 23)
88-15-23
26-28-63 (Larsson until he's healthy)
82-17-44
Trade Ennis. Buy out Moulson. - PassionBucket16
Buying him out doesn't do you much good though. If he were bought out this summer the hit would be:
16-17: 2.88mil
17-18: 2.88 mil
18-19: 3.88 mil
888k for the final 3 years
The year in which you'd really want that space his buyout is eating up 3.88 mil |

I would like Girgs with Eichel as well.
McGinn-Eichel-Girgs
Moulson-Larsson-Gionta
Foligno-Legwand-Deslauriers
Where that puts Ennis, not really sure either. - mhp

McCabe had probably his worst game as a pro last night. I think he misses playing with Pysyk. I think he'll have a better game tonight. - mhp
McCabe was god awful last night and has been shaky lately. I look forward to when Pysyk comes back, not that he's a savior but he wlll stregnthen the D and McCabe played better with him. |

This is why i've soured on him as our lead prospect guy. He's one of the few who is actually surprised by this. I've only read about and seen Borgen play once but those who cover him regularly have been listing him as a potential invitee for some time now.
Karabacek is a lock so long as he doesn't sleep in. - Sabresfan-365
I get the feeling the won't make that mistake again. He was really mad at himself for doing that. |

Him and Zacha should do some damage together. Don't know what to make of karabacek. His stats aren't the greatest (considering he's a scorer in the Q) but he plays for perhaps one of the worst teams in the CHL. |

Here's the problem though. When Pysyk comes back, if you're putting him and McCabe back together, that leaves you with Bogo and Franson paired together, and it's well documented that Franson can't play the left side. Not sure how Bogo feels about it, but for a guy who's game hasn't been where it probably should be, I don't know how I feel about putting him out of position on top of that. |

I think Murray did pretty well with some of the later picks in last year's draft.

I don't think he's registered a point since that trade. Hopefully just adjusting to his new team. |

Yes he has been. You need to work on your D man evaluations because you usually crash and burn on them, ahem, there was this player named Myers that you were all gushy over that didn't deserve the kisses. Just follow my lead and you'll go far - GilPerreault11
No he hasn't.
There are numerous stats where he is dead last on the blue line.
It's a valid excuse that he is rusty and just needs to get going, but it's not really even debatable that he's off to a slow start.
Posession % is one of the most important stats for a defensemen. Anywhere over 50% is good.
For example
Karlsson has never been under 50% over his career.
Myers is at 50% this year
Bogosian at 43%

a buddy of mine works with Tim Murray's team. he's low level front office, doesn't work directly with him but he knows and works with the folks that do.
he said pegula and Murray want stamkos bad (this part is probably pretty obvious) and that they're willing to part with a lot to get him if they know he'll sign here. he said they're preparing a package to offer after the new year which would consist of some combo of ennis/girgensons and pysyk and multiple picks and a prospect or two.
not sure if that would be enough but it's certainly a sizable package from our POV.
what's the max you guys would give it for him now or at the deadline?

I love Stamkos but this is a bad idea IMO. Especially if he has to send 3 or 4 big pieces |

Have you watched Myers and Bogo's game? Bogo gets rid of the puck and completes outlet passes quick ad accurately. Myers has and had trouble competing outlet passes, he skates with the puck more perhaps because of this which gives him more possession time.
Karlson skates with the puck a lot as well but he can pass and skate, Bogo is not in his league but neither is Myers.

I agree. Karlsson is in a league of his own, and Myers is no where near great. Trust me, my opinion on Myers has changed since two years ago when I thought he was becoming great. |

I wouldn't disagree on that trade package because that's what it would probably take. Not sure I would do it though.
Where would Stamkos play in the top 6? Move ROR to wing?

I think Reinhart would have to be the main peice, and not someone like Girgensons. They couldn't justify moving Stamkos for anything short of a potential franchise player IMO |

But if you have no chance of re signing him, a package of A-/B+ assets is better than nothing. I don't think anyone will offer more than that, especially the leafs since they'd be the front runners if he hit FA. |

Agreed.
I'm just not sold on trading prospects and multiple picks along with a top 6 forward and a dman. Too much for my blood. |
