AMac hasn't been awful as a whole package, but my god every time he's defending the rush, even with back checkers, all he does is give them controlled entries. Just back skates and back skates. It's just terrible defense. I thought he may have worked on it, but old dog new tricks type deal I guess.

Look at the 2nd Neilsen goal, what did Del Zotto do? How about the last final puck possession the Isles had in the late 2nd. All started with Schultz not stepping up and challenging.

I didn't blame him for the goal. I blamed him for allowing the entry to develop. Other two were equally or more responsible. He put himself in a weak position to defend before there was even a 2 on 1. It wasn't the worst play tbh. More funny than anything given his situation and habits. Now, every other defensive play in the NZ he's (frank)ed up is just bad defense period. Go rewatch the game if you feel like it, I've been keeping tabs on it. His controlled entry allowed rate is terrible. Same old. Whatever. You'll find a way to sugarcoat it.
