Oh yeah what about Clarkson?...hmm maybe you just shouldn't sign Devil players - DDM-Coga
Both players looked good for one year and were paid by that year alone ....I wasn't shocked by Clarkson sliding back to reality ...just didn't expect him to miss his stop at average and rude the bus to near utter useless ....I think if he signs in say Boston for 4 years 4 mill per instead of with the leafs he probably has a better career since he left nj.... |

It's not like Fayne became instantly bad after he left NJ. He was solid but unspectacular for us last year, thus there was no reason to think it was a bad pickup. |

It has happened before... likely something to do with raccoon porn or something of that nature... - saskoil21
Is it wrong that my initial thought upon reading this post wasn't revulsion, but rather how in the (frank) is it possible to (frank) a raccoon?
Needless to say some things are best left unkown. |

Last year it was relatively easy to appear invisible or 'decent'- it was a complete poop show on the back end! Fayne brought no offense, no physicality and well is/was invisible- this season the younger players outshone- hence the pressbox and now AHL or waiver wire end of his career as an Oiler... Further- he served 1.3 years of his 4 year contract? Very oportunist... |

He's on waivers because he simply isn't that good & is being paid way too much for his skill level.
Another reason why no other team would trade for him. - newmy
Dreger, there you are. I was wondering if we could get your insight as to who might be interested in picking up Fayne. |

Why do I have a feeling Stalock starts tonight and plays his best game of the year. Sharks will want this one bad against their old bench boss. 2-0 Sharks.. sigh.
Always seem to lose the games we really should be winning. |

For what he was worth when we signed him in 2014, I'd be terrified. We wanted hope then, and yeah it provided us some, put ended up in McDavid. I think this goes to show how far the team has come. Past year this move never would've been madr.
Also we're still pretty damm close to the playoffs, so theres that |

Jones is the confirmed starter. Which is unfortunate for the oil cause stalock sucks |

Goes to show, never leave the Devils. Every player than left the Devils ends with a horrible career. The devils system used to be every person had a role, focus on that role and do it well. That's why no matter who left or came in NJ they were so successful because people were assigned roles. Clarkson is just another example.
But now Fayne made is millions... - Leniwm1

Didn't look sensational last night, and is playing back to back. Could be worse. |

Why does everyone think Parise is so good?!? - nanook82
Because he kinda is.
578 points in 709 games. Six 30+ goal seasons. Probably the best American born winger playing, after P Kane of course. |
