I know this is harsh, but i guess this hurts chances he can be traded by TDL. |

Mckenzie has said that if Canucks would approach a trade regarding Jared Tinordi, a draft pick would most likely be all that is needed to get him..
I really hope we spend another 2nd on a player who can't crack their team's roster. A tandem of Pedan and Tinordi would be beastly though (if Tinordi could ever forgive him for breaking his face) |

How? TDL is in March, you don't think he'll be back by then? I think his play has hurt the chances of trading him more than this, or the fact that he has a NTC. |

Here's the update on Hamhuis:

He's undergoing surgery tomorrow for a facial fracture. Timeline to be determined after the operation. - Carol Schram
That's tough for Dan, hope he has a successful surgery and speedy recovery.
It will be very telling how Benning responds to this. My guess is we see him acquire a depth vet guy.
My guess is Andrew MacDonald and a 5th for Hansen and a 3rd.

NTC means nothing, he would waive for a few months if Van is out of playoff picture. That's what a true team player/loyal player does in the final year of a contract. His play is still better than the 5/6 dmen on pretty much all cup contending teams. a team would still pay(esp if we retain some salary) for a #4 dman to play on their bottom pairing to help with a cup run, esp since if a top 4 gets injured he can move up the line. Surgery on his face varies as to whether or not it heals fast. TDL is Feb 29th this year, than means he has 2 1/2 months to recover. |

I think it is good for us.
If we suck, it will show how valuable he is.
GMs won't be able to see how bad he is for the next 2 months, and might forget about his season and give us a better return. |

Uncomplicated jaw fractures generally heal in 4-6 weeks, so he'll be back turning over the puck well before the TDL. |

He can always wear a half cage or full cage and play... not like it hasn't been done before... |

The Canucks are hated enough, no need to push it further. - A_SteamingLombardi
I wonder if this is still true. Generally people don't spend time thinking (or hating) on mid-tier teams. |

This is a complete rip off for us if he did. If i'm looking at the right one that plays for Phili, he is worth maybe a 3rd, most likely a 4th. |

Unlike our friend #Classic321sucks, I have faith in Benning. He won't make a trade for a vet dman. Only move I see is a trade similar to the Pedan one which I think most of us are pleased with.
Besides, the way he has played, Biega is an upgrade.

I can't wait to see how many picks Benning gives away to get an average D-man. - classic321
With Hutton's huge leap forward and the pleasant play of Biega, we're not in that dire of a situation...yet....
Tanev-Edler
Sbisa (when healthy) - Biega
Hutton - Bart
Weber
Not great by any means, but not terrible. |

When it comes to Canuck fans it's always complicated. Broken jaw means shattered into 15 pieces in this town
Edit: it could be dental surgery.
I'm not going to go to the dark side, it's dark enough knowing that Weber is back in. |

At least Hamhuis was injured in his own give away. Imagine he coughed up the puck and Tanev got hit in the face. It would make you feel pretty guilty. As it is, he just has to get over a broken face. |

Did you just refer to Pedan as the defensive datsyuk?
Pedan just had a great game in Utica but I doubt they call him up if they were so hesitant to play him on D last time he was up. Who knows though because the Nucks don't have much to pick from on the farm. - belcherbd
How nice has Biega been. Not too often you find one let alone two Dmen who stepped in to the organization, when you weren't sure if there was anyone.
That is why I couldn't care less about Frankie C or Clendenning being moved . I seen Biega on his first call up when he scored and thought this kid is near ready.
JB needs to treat him right and give him a modest 2 year extension . Something along the line of Weber salary( Jannick not Shea) .
Nice to see home grown talent get promotions. We should have a decent 5/6/7 |

Two much maligned contracts - Sutter and Sbisa - now the two most missed guys on the team? - stevekariya
Damn Corsica
I remember discussing two years ago about trying to trade Edler to Detroit and the deal would include Feraaro . Nucker told me as he always did about my choices of who we should go for, that LF was a dud with bad Corsi . I told him I listened to two games on the radio and Ferraro was a dynamo all over the ice , but again Nucker didn't like his PPG or possession numbers.
He is looking good now |
