Mckenzie has said that if Canucks would approach a trade regarding Jared Tinordi, a draft pick would most likely be all that is needed to get him..
I really hope we spend another 2nd on a player who can't crack their team's roster. A tandem of Pedan and Tinordi would be beastly though (if Tinordi could ever forgive him for breaking his face) - Codes1087
Good move , cost little , may one day work out. I see him as a Bryan Allen |

How nice has Biega been. Not too often you find one let alone two Dmen who stepped in to the organization, when you weren't sure if there was anyone.
That is why I couldn't care less about Frankie C or Clendenning being moved . I seen Biega on his first call up when he scored and thought this kid is near ready.
JB needs to treat him right and give him a modest 2 year extension . Something along the line of Weber salary( Jannick not Shea) .
Nice to see home grown talent get promotions. We should have a decent 5/6/7 - VANTEL
I agree Biega has been nice, and that he deserves a contract. |

We need to work on our 1/2 this offseason 3-8 is just fine , especially if we can replace Weber with Tinordi ( Alberts 2.0) |

One thing I noticed about last night was how aggressive we were in front of the net. I know Burrows took some penalties for it but boy it's about effin time . |

Disagree strongly with you there, Edler and Tanev are fine.
Obviously a legit #1 would be nice but it won't happen in the off-season. I would prefer to replace 4-5 of those 3-8 guys.

We get our lunches handed to us every playoff. They are too soft when it gets tough. They are fine regular season Dmen but are not close to the same in the PO
3 playoff wins since 2012 tells me I am right |

i'm with Vantel on this one.
Edler and Tanev are great 3-4 Dmen or even good 2-3, but they are predictable and easy to shut down in a playoff series.
We miss that PMD that can really rush the puck. |

Edler Byfuglien
Hutton Tanev
Sbisa Biega
Bartowski Tinordi
would be a better playoff D |

We miss a stud that we have never had, and every team that wins seems to have... although we did get one win away so it's debatable. |

Do we really want Alberts 2.0? My memory of Alberts is reminiscent of a blooper real or watching NHL players doing drills around pylons. I don't like this Tinordi deal. keep the pick, he's the same player type as were hoping pedan/trymakin to be. |

This reminded me of one of the special nights that the nucks are hosting this year thats' gonna celebrate the defencemen over the team's history, and that got me thinking...who were the best d-men Canucks have had? Has there ever been a true #1?

Unlike our friend #Classic321sucks, I have faith in Benning. He won't make a trade for a vet dman. Only move I see is a trade similar to the Pedan one which I think most of us are pleased with.
Besides, the way he has played, Biega is an upgrade. - CanuckDon

Our best Dmen imo have been more solid defensively than offensive.

You need a big guy that can fight. He is very young still . I remember Pens giving up on guys like Engelland Despres. I would definitely take a chance on him over Pedan |

Bourdon is the last time I even remember us drafting a dman in the first round. Ohlund is the best that I have watched. Like a noble basset hound, but ideally still a number 2 guy IMO. |

More than fight, you need a Dman that can clear the net, take some abuse and punish the opposition in the corners.
We definitely lack that up front, need more of it on the backend. |

and salo was a huge part of the team. When he'd ve away he was sorely missed
I'm actually surprised that not many talked about how big salo was.... he dwarfed ohlund.
I really loved jovo too.
