Youre forgetting Legwand has even pitched in a few, and he scares the hell out of the other goalies.
- Der Kaiser

Well, didn't forget, I was only talking about the Colorado and Winnipeg trades in all of that rambling.

You're expectations of what's on anyone's farm are skewed. When teams recall players they never expect the guy they call up to fill the exact role of the guy that went down unless it just so happens to be a 4th liner or last pair Dman.

You bump someone from your NHL roster up on the depth chart and slide the AHL player into a bottom line or pair role, at least initially.

IF the guy comes in and blows the doors off, you work him into a higher spot in the roster.

Come on... you know better than this....

- HonkFortheGoose

many organizations that succeed, have depths to plug a spot here and there

it is what separates winners from losers many times

if a first line player goes down, yeah the second line guy moves up, but the player called up should have the skill to earn that spot on the second line if he produces in the nhl

same goes for the d men

the farm system is not bare, which is what we are seeing here

honestly not sure how looking at our lack of depth, and questioning the gm entitles a clown to get piled on

if this team is a bottom 3 team for the third straight year, the gm should be on the hot seat, which is all I am saying

And you and more people would be pissing and moaning even more than now when this team actually has talent that doesn't need to wait another 5 years to develop!

My "patient" is giving them this year to learn the system, their teammates, etc. Yours is another 5+ year plan of developing draft picks who may be poop

Nah, I was all about the rebuild.

I mentioned goalies cuz...well, they're kind of a key part of each game and it shows what they've allowed this season.

As bad as we may be hating on the duo right now, the 2 teams I was talking about have allowed just as many goals, and that's with 2 guys each from this team vs the 1 each they sent to Buffalo.

The GM should be on the hot seat if he is not achieving the franchise's goals. There's a difference.

Wait...you're saying if Patrick Kane/Hossa goes down in Chicago, that a guy they pull out of the AHL should be talented enough to be a 2nd line guy? Why the hell would he be in the AHL then?

The farm system isn't as bare as you seem to want to believe. Rochester hasn't had a ton of talent on it in YEARS. It's not just this year. Most of the guys that Murray moved have nothing to do with Rochester. Armia and Grigorenko played for Rochester last year. That's it.

Right now, the majority of our prospects are either still in Jr or the NCAA. There's still a lot of talent out there. Just not that we can call up right now for injuries, and to be honest, for this year, it really doesn't matter.

I think people are just looking for reasons to complain and chime the alarm bells. It's like the freaking boy who cried wolf around here.

hawks are an average team now, going all in on 2 guys

plus as hossa declines that cap hit is going to be brutal

so on a hockey chat site, one can't question a gm on a team that is currently a bottom 3 team for 3 straight years

Cmon dude. We know what Pegula's goal was last year and the year before. Suffer in year one; get McEichel year two. GMTM did both of those.

This year, we have been told they "intend to get better every day."

Better. Seven letters.

All that says is that Bishop is older and been in the league on a better team.

I've seen a lot of goalies in the finals over the years. Doesn't mean that they're any better than some others that don't make the finals.

By your estimation, Bishop is better than Rinne because he's been the finals and Rinne hasn't. Don't get me wrong, Bishop is a good goalie, but I'd take Rinne before him if given the option.
