When people talk about the beginnings of hockey, I always think of Howard Dill, must be a very cool guy, from what I remember, seeing him on tv.

(did not know about the Vikings, hockey always makes me think of the contrasting images of vikings and swedes today, like the Sedins, heat of battle and handing an opponent their stick, after picking it up for them)

Pedan would have been a better option last year in the PO against the Flames . His skills are limited but if you need someone who could have kicked Ferlands ass he would have been a better choice than Weber

I can only speculate that different players are at different stages of development and they must not have confidence in them being ready to play in the ahl or nhl....

If the club has roster spots, why not fill them with prospects and release those that don't cut it? and I think the charm with Utica is the Comets can sign players to ahl contracts that don't impact the Canucks contract limits. They likely wouldn't be ready for the nhl anyway.

kind of go back to the skill set of our various dmen. Who has a heavy game? who clears the front of the net? do we need anyone to clear the front of the net?

Would Pedan be a better option than Weber? It sure wouldn't hurt to give him a look for a game or so, playing that position. It is not like we struggle with Weber out of the lineup, quite the contrary.

They are doing a lot of PTOs because our cupboards are empty.

We have drafted 3 Dmen this year that can't be touched as the play in Jr. A Russian who is under contracts with the KHL . Subban Cedarholm Saunter Stewart or McEneny who aren't ready.

It is an area we only started to pay attention to and our D on the farm are not just ready

Him and Christian Thomas were disciplined behind the scenes for images that came out on twitter of them being drunk at a bar a few nights ago. Videos and images were taken of them partying. Both were later healthy scratches so whether or not that means anything, I don't know. I would imagine Nathan is off limits though.
