Watching this phantom game and woof. Morin is fine right where he's at. He needs the time in the A. Martel while explosive is awful in his own end assignment wise. Wouldn't expect to see either of these guys anytime soon. |

He certainly has had consistency issues, especially last season. It's not uncommon for a player to put too much pressure on himself when signing a big contract.

He played well as an Islander, frequently averaging well over 20 minutes a game, and playing against top lines. He's a solid all around defenseman. Unfortunately, he's not a 5M a year defenseman, who struggled somewhat last season. It's just speculation, but perhaps the pressure of the contract got to him. He hasn't been given a chance to rectify his play this season.
