Any idea what is up with Dorset? He is my favourite guy to watch on the Canucks. Hope he is back ASAP! |

The defence men that you are talking about can't score , fight , lay out big hits , and was an adequate skater.
Alberts could hit fight and defend team mates. When Corrado can do one of them we can renegotiate - VANTEL
You dont need to fight to be an NHL dman. Im not saying Corrado was a tremendous loss. But with this teams history of losing dmen, health issues etc. I would have been nice if they could have aquired something for him VIA trade rather than risking losing him for nothing.
He still has room to grow and I believe can be a great bottom 6 d-man.
Dependable, Tanev like. Not flashy but reliable. |

As a Dman you need to be good at something. Alberts could provide grit, what could Corrado provide?
See what Biega is doing on his time here, that is what your 5/6 guy needs to do . FC would chase the puck for 10 min.
You let him go and find better. Bartowski is better and Biega is better. That is why FC kept slipping down the depth charts |

Why are wasting time on this? He wasn't good enough and now he's someone else's problem, end of story. Corrado is just brought up by those who want to complain about Benning. |

JB gambled on sending FC down and lost. He knew FC wasn't ready for the NHL.
Maybe there wasn't any takers for FC when it came to a trade? The reason why Babcock hadn't been playing him was because he wasn't NHL ready, and for any team that acquired him, that wasn't going to change.
Not sure if you listened to that recent JB interview, but he wasn't impressed with how the Leafs handled FC. JB said something in the interview about when you pick a player off waivers, you are supposed to play them. Which may be why B.McMillan played so much here, last year, after he was picked up off waivers from the yotes.
I agree about dmen not needing to fight, but I want more of a physical game from our dmen, make life difficult for opposing players to stand in front of our net. |

Honestly, guys like Pedan and Tinordi are dying out. I'm tired of having guys that are too slow to carry the puck, was happy to see Juice let go when he lost a step or two. Time to draft and build the back end. That's just my opinion, I see both those guys being 5-6 d-men, and that's just not worth a draft pick. - neem55
Have you guys watched Pedan? He isn't slow. He skates well and has a huge shot. He hasn't dressed because they are worried about his decision making |

Absolutely agree, if Corrado had cleared waivers, the complaints would be about Lack being traded because he won against Anaheim, so he must be #1 goalie...WTF was Benning thinking |

Nobody JB let walk or traded has done anything at all worth mentioning.
Matthias Corrado Lack or Kassian
Once GMMG deals expire of get moved is when it'll be more clear what JB envisioned.
Burrows Higgins expire soon n i doubt r resigned if not traded 1st.
The old guard had its chance n times r a changing.
Sedins n Edler n Tanev n Hansen r the only vets worth keeping moving forward.
The kids n prospects n future draftees is the new model n all for it.
Patience n pain prolly lies ahead but its necessary.
How this season plays out matters not its the bigger picture that does matter.
Giving it 2-3yrs from now looks quite interesting n refreshing. |

Agreed. I just hope we finish out of the playoffs and get a decent 1st and 2nd pick to get it really kicked into motion. |

Playoffs or no playoffs either way we need to keep on track with what JB wants to do. Too many ppl use the past or the present without a real vision. Building depth n prospects for sustained success the hardest of all things to do. Takes commitment n fortutude to stay the course.
Starts at the top n go down from there.
Eg Detroit Chicago LA
Continuous regular season success.
Eg NYR SJ Vancouver Montreal etc |

Going totally off topic....
Imagine 4 divisions spread east to west instead of TZ's.
I'd think travel would be the the biggest whine but it would be equitable across the board. It would spare us much as in the east coast asleep n clueless of what goes on out west. It would show the dominance of the current western conference teams even more so IMO.
Just a radical view on what i think is reality on the advantage of eastern conference teams n also that they lack the quality out west overall. Some teams would prolly excel whilst most would face the same rigors of a long season.
Only a curiosity more than anything. |

Have you seen the Higgins Dog? Apparently people didn't want their imitation processed hobo meat topped with wasabi infused whip cream and cucumber jelly, so Benning has sent the entire shipment to an Isis controlled strong hold. Soon they will declare a fatwa on Higgins and Vantel will be able to sleep at night again. |
