wonder why he gets scratched so much...
I guess if you had a coach who knew how to use him in a role that works it;d be good.
we obviously don't have that so I am leary - SMBDragon
That is exactly it he has the tools but the effort is not always there.
The good thing about coming here is , he is a better option than Weber. It will cost next to nothing. He is a temporary fill in . If it works out great , if it doesn't you let him go |

My daughter and family just moved back there, she wants me to move there when I'm ready to say goodbye to my job, I was in Calgary for 5 years and Edmonton for 12 years so I know what you mean, really enjoyed both cities. - HawkfaninBC
Spring Summer and fall here are usually great as you most likely know just the winters can drag on forever. Only downfall. I like being between Calgary and Edmonton many perks...but if you are in Victoria that place is awesome. Not sure I would ever leave there if I had a stable job there. Other than family of course... |

I enjoyed the spring, summer and fall in Alberta, six months, but the six months of winter really turned me off. Be hard to leave the island again.

I don't if you're 12 or 80, That is a piz poor argument. While I don't think we should ever rely totally on stats, Toews, Kopitar and Bergeron being the best corsi guys ks to them being relevant. Saying that you watched hockey for a long time doesn't mean you know anything about it. You could watch every episode of MASH and never have anymore military knowledge. It also doesn't put you in a position to say "x stat is a buzzword" when literally every franchise is paying attention to FENWICK, CORSI, shot differential metrics when evaluating players in addition to scouting them first hand. getting old doesn't have to be about resisting change and denying that things are getting better. Hockey is the best it has ever been right now, why? they study it more closely, watch tape, collect stats. Rant over. - neem55
Well watching n playing hockey before Fenwick n Corsi left no choice.
Still u never commented on how a hot goalie renders Corsi useless.
How u come up with i resist change idk. I never said i did. If u make a clear comment quote me. Imagining what u think u hear counts nada.
As for metrics i agree it goes further in depth than any stats before.
What it doesn't do it tell the whole story. It does paint a much better picture though. |

For sure, hard to beat the island, but as far as bigger cities go , I would live in Edmonton before I would in Vancouver, can't stand the traffic in Vancouver. |

I think the expectations have always been just too high for him, he is what he is. Decent bottom pairing guy that can throw his weight around at times. |

That is what I would like to see. We both like the Flyers , so I want to give him a shot . What I don't want to hear is if he doesn't work out " remember how you wanted Schenn?"
I definitely hope the rumour is true. |

ya I love Victoria. So its the traffic here that you hated....cant disagree with that.
you'd be best to stay out of Moscow then....arghhh.
Victoria would certainly be my choice of any of the mentioned cities |

I suggested Schenn earlier in the year and still feel the same. At this time he would be the best fit, but like I said buyer beware. Our D would be grittier
My ideal trade would be Burrows for Schenn |

I moved from Ottawa to Richmond in 1969 and couldn't believe the size of the ditches with the beavers , I mean rats swimming around in them |

Victoria is beautiful if u wanna retire.
As for Vancouver traffic it depends where u live n when u work.
Never been an issue for me except when double jumpers blocked up both inlet bridges. |

I can live with getting out of one more year of Burrows salary.
Appreciate all he did here but the team is changing. |

made the same suggestion about 2 weeks ago that we get him here based on physical play.
I wouldn't move burrows though. Weber ok....or like 3/4th rd pick
schenn and tinordi can be good additions....we need size,, physical play, toughness on D. I say add both
although to add both we may have to make cap space? |

Burrows cap space in the summer would be much nicer being used to signing someone better long term |

I ignored it because don't know what you're talking about, but since you've asked: Corsi relates to Shot attempts FOR versus Shot Attempts AGAINST. It has nothing to do with whether shots are going in, rather if they are on net or not. I agree with the painting a better picture, much like starting to watch video in the 90's. |
