Firing WD I think would be a mistake. Not his fault with all the injuries.

but if he was canned, I think they might go with Green or Gulutzen. Someone good with younger players. Green has been doing okay in Utica, might be a shame to move him out of there if there isn't much to work with on the big club too.

No way WD get the axe. he is here for a while - at least 3 or 4 more years since the roster is going to turn over anyway and he becomes the "old guy" running players he knows well.

Cannot see a coach change being needed.
With the turning of the guard underway only time will show where it all is heading.

This is it. With the core turning over and the development of the kids I think WD will get his shot next year to make things happen with a very young roster. If that sputters they will look elsewhere. He ain't going anywhere this season.
