When star players are available, and you have the cap space or can make it, you have to take a serious look. Nobody wants to overpay but for the right player (considering age, established production, etc.. ), you make the gamble.

Down the middle with Henrik, Stamkos, Sutter.... Trade Horvat for a dmen or move him to wing, or back to the 4th line for another season or two...

But I am not holding my breath on Stamkos coming here. RJ might be a more realistic target depending on the price...

He couldn't be much worse than what we are seeing, but he is not in game shape and not really the solution.

I liked him in a Canucks uni when he was on, but he wasn't on nearly enough. The ahl sounds like the best place for him to continue to recover from his addiction and get his act together.
