Any word why? He played in them last year and is having an even better season.
Edit: nevermind, DBot pointed out the obvious. - CubanBuffet
I didn't think he was that old. He will be playing for the Comets next year then. |

I think one of those two will get moved but they will be wanting a lot. - neem55
If you were Edmonton, would you trade Hall for one of them? straight up? |

Hall is a heck of a player. I would sooner trade Eberle/Yak/RNH before Hall. |

Unless he wants to graduate. I don't think he's a senior. |

yep, but if you are Edmonton and Nashville offers Josi or Jones, do you?
I'd make that trade for Josi, under contract with cost certainty and all |

Honestly I think they are holding onto Hall and RNH and Eberle are who they are thinking of moving. I think Nashville might do it and I would definitely do it if I was Chiarelli. Nashville is in the position with leverage though, so they should be able to be patient and wait for a big return. |

Big trade for Josi??
offer up some offense to Preds? - dbot
You might be able to pry Josi away if you gave them Bo/Tanev++ although at this point, I think teams are probably higher on McCann than Bo with how much he's struggling. Weber is the most likely to be moved (even though that's still highly unlikely considering his contract and how central he still is to the market itself) because Jones/Josi are going to be carrying the team in 2-3 years from now. |

I would, especially Josi. But that's only because I think Hall plays a little too reckless for my liking and isn't likely to play many 82 game seasons+PO IMO |

I'm with Bob MAckenzie on this one, Weber isn't going anywhere. He is too much a part of this team's identity. |

Very tough making moves. I'd make that trade though. Hall for Josi. Maybe they could get Jones for a little less. The only thing with Jones that would have me worried is if someone offer sheeted him before getting a chance to extend him.

I think if anyone could open up the wallet for a #1 D it's Edmonton though. |

Where would they be with a legit top 2 dman? They have the depth at forward, sounds like a no brainer to make a bold move and get on with it.
We know what we need but don't have the assets to make a move, they have the assets but are just sitting on them. |

I Would not offer sheet this year.
Our pick will be top 5.
If we were contending, i would consider it (with a lower ranked pick), but it smells of the Kessel for Seguin scenario at this point. - dbot
It would be next years pick. |

next years 1st, 2nd and 3rd? seems a little steep for a rebuilding team. Almost better to put together a package with player, prospect and pick instead? |
|
|
|
Edmonton has about 14 mil in space next year with no goalies and they need to re-sign a bunch of players. They can't afford to buy 2x number one Dmen |

I think that's why they trade RNH (they have MCJESUS and Drisitel up the middle) and free up space while acquiring a top d-man. I hope they do not do this and continue to find a way to underachieve, but Chiarelli seems a pretty bright chap (Minus the Seguin deal). |

Hypothetically what could happen if you offer sheet and got RJ for 7 mil. They get the first second third, then you could turn around and trade a guy like Bo for Vatanen or someone |
