yea i think it was 2012. This is our first shutout win in 87 games.

On another note, Cal hasn't looked out of place at the nhl level. I wonder if he'll actually stick in the nhl this time. Doubt it, but it would be cool to have him finally break through playing with his brother.

I really enjoyed watching some of the bigger hockey personalities like Elliot Freidman and Bob McKenzie in awe of the 3-0 Buffalo shutout of Anaheim tonight. I know the game was part fluke and part Chad Johnson, but I'll take it. I also went to the game on 15 dollar, 100 level 10th row ticks on stubhub. Doesn't get any better.

He has had some success at the nhl level with 18 points in 38 games in 2010-11. He's always been that player that is great in the ahl but can never stick at the nhl level. I know he like his brother has great work ethic.

I think it's his lack of beard that keeps him from playing like his brother.

Anyone else agree that Mcginn is the most underrated player on this team?? Most of us saw him as a throw in before the season started but wow this guy is the complete package. He's got gritty toughness but has that soft scoring touch and he's not afraid to go to the dirty areas. As painful as this is coming from a Sabres fan, he reminds me a lot of Darcy Tucker. skill and toughness. Or like Evander Kane to a lesser extent, a little less skill and less cocky. Let's see if this is all a fluke or if he can keep it up.
