I don't like Eichel with Kane. Kane can't pass the puck worth a shiite. He's a giveaway machine out there. If he'd only convert on some of those Eichel passes. What a waste.

It was very noticeable last night. That one 3 on 2 (i think) with kane eichel and gionta where he passes the puck into giontas skates was brutal

Almost, i think Risto has been pretty consistent as well.

Not defensively.

I like that he's fast and tough and shoots a lot, but he just doesn't have the hockey smarts that Eichel and Samson have.

You're jioking about Risto, right? He's not been perfect but is by far the most consistent d man in the defensive zone since maybe the third game of the year. Gorges started off pretty fugly but has gotten more solid lately, Pysyk and Jake have been very good, Weber is Weber....havent heard Fransons name lately...maybe a good thing.

But risto is a bad man. I get shivers thinking that hes only 21 and we get him on our team for the next 20 years. He is a beast in both ends.

honestly, I'd rather keep him that trade him for a pick unless it's a top 10-15 pick. He instantly boosts the skill of whoever is on a line with him, he's a leader, a skilled veteran, and could possibly wear an A on his chest next year, assuming he continues this play. I could see GMTM (beady eyed douche) including him in a package for a skilled rookie or skilled NHL ready player more than straight up for a pick in a draft that isn't too deep. Austin matters honestly would have been the # 6 or 7 pick this year IMO. If McGinn was in a package for someone, it'd be to a contending team who needs skilled veteran depth and leadership, and he would likely be the player in the trade that put the trade over the edge as far as the other GM agreeing. Honestly no fans outside of buffalo know who McGinn even is. They'd probably see him as a throw in but this is all assuming this is mcginns playing level and not just a fluke or hot streak. As far as the winner in the ROR McGinn trade as of right now; buffalo has utterly fleeced Colorado in this deal. I don't see grigorenko ever contributing much, he'll most likely wind up back in Europe within 5 years. I forgot who else we threw in but I know he didn't make the roster. So 2 busts for 2 great players. McGinn = Darcy Tucker in his prime, or a less scummy Milan Lucic. ALSO; when Chad Johnsons contract is up, assuming Lehner is the starter or not injured (again, and again, and again
) or that we have a number 1 starter whoever it may be, do you re sign Chad or let him go and keep Minion Man Ullmark as the back up in the NHL? I don't know who that would leave for goalies in Rochester. Maybe we wind up drafting a goalie in the second or third round this year, assuming Lehner isn't the savior almighty that GMTM expected.

I cant highlight from my tablet, but your last sentence indicates Lehner is gmtm's savior, while your entire first paragraph annoints McGinn as YOUR personal savior. Can there be more than one?

Also maybe the Tucker comparisons aren't so good, but you sure get marks calling gmtm a "beady eyed douche" right after saying he pulled off a masterful trade in which we fleeced another team.

Its going to be an interesting pickem for this weeks HBSL. Do you go for the high scoring players with two games, or try and find some more games with guys that might not score as much?

In some cases probably not going to have a choice but to pick some two gamers just to stay under the cap.

And I thought that would have been a great time to shoot, like he usually does. In close with 2 teammates right there to pounce on a rebound or loose puck.
