Domi's really broken out and would be great to have right now, but at the time of the draft most people wanted us to have taken Morrissey or Pulock over Morin. I don't recall Domi being mentioned that much. I'm not sure what's going on with Morrissey's AHL team but I'm pretty surprised he's been outscored by Morin so far this season.
Like you, Ristolainen was the guy I wanted going into the draft and if the Flyers had picked Morin over him (and it seems like they would have based on the video of their not so blurry draft board) it would have killed me. - Feanor
Domi was undersized. I agree with you, I wouldve smashed several things if they picked Morin over Ristolainen. We got the next Chris Prongerâ„¢ |

I agree. I think to get their attention it would require something like Couturier or BSchenn + Gudas + Sanheim, which is too rich for my blood. - Feanor
need to give to get....flyers have the parts unless Columbus wants nhl ready dman instead of blue chip prospects. |

Johansen for Seth Jones make sense. Nashville are never going to be real contenders to get out of the West with the centers they have. |

your giving up nothing of consequence for a 1st line center. they laugh at deal imo. - rinaldo
Who determines whats of consequence. Some teams still think Schenn is a viable young player.
I think a lot depends on how bad they want to get rid of him. Look at Boston. They wanted to get rid of Seguin so bad, you think they really got a lot back for him?
Hagg was billed as a first rounder his draft year. Laughton is a first rounder. Just because as fans we might not see it doesn't mean hockey guys think the same way.
But a lot depends on what Columbus really wants. And I think it hurts them a little, kind of like Boston, that teams know he is on their poop list so they might lose some leverage in that. |

See I would move Weber before Jones.
Weber is getting up there in age and they have a solid nucleus on d with Jones, Josi, Ekholm.
I would move the Weber money |

I wouldn't take Weber if I were CBJ due to his age. I'd insist on Jones.

Getting Provorov made up for the Ristolainen disappointment. As soon as Arizona took Strome and not Hanifin I knew we were gonna get our guy without having to pay a price to move up. |

Who wouldnt? Thing with trades though, is that the other person has to want what you are giving them |

Johnasen instantly gives the Flyers a nice 1-2 center punch, but I'd rather not move on of our big 4 defense prospects (including Ghost). |

It hurts a little to compare Hartnell and pacioretty's current stats and see Hartnell has only one less goal/point than pacioretty... |

what Boston got is irrelevant.
ok your the Columbus Gm, do you make that deal?
your not getting anything back that is a sure thing for a sure thing. laughton is a 1st rd pick and hagg was billed as a 1st rd pick, so what. schenn good player. they are not losing any leverage.

I was still a bit worried about the Devils...because I think BPA was obvious...but they were desperate for a forward |

I really don't see Shea Weber moving. With the investment they've made to him both financially and publicly, it's more than just a hockey move.
Plus I think Weber is a better hockey player than Johansen. |

I would depending on what other components of the deal are. he is a proven nhl commodity at this point. young to boot. |

I know he is, but I just am not sold on him. I can't say why, I just don't like him. I'd maybe move Morin for him, not Sanheim/Ghost/Provorov. |

Yes, thankfully their total lack of young forward talent outside of Henrique worked out perfectly for us.
CBJ might have benefited from moving up to #6 and taking Provorov. I think he could have played in their top 6 this season. |

I wonder what he would have done with 58% OZ starts, weak competition and Ghost as his regular partner... |

Man, asset management-wise, it makes some sense right now... but I really believe that Jones will become the more valuable player down the road. Kid is so good already. |
