The notion of "earning" your shootout bid is ridiculous. And it's league wide. Like it or not, the shootout is part of the game. I don't care if a guy put three pucks in his own net and then literally took a nap at center ice with a minute to go, if he's good at shootouts, he should be taking attempts.

Was just about to say, it's a skills competition not an effort competition. That shootout selection looked like a team trying to avoid the 2nd point. Just saying

I clearly saw a slash on Ugwand. My view on the officials was they didn't call obvious penalties in the first and decided to impact the outcome of the game late in the 3rd. I hate when they call games like that.

If anyone sees a replay of this game, you'll also see a gaping net in front of DLo with about 7:30 left, and the puck skips his stick so he whiffs.

There were alot of positives in this game. They did a nice job of shutting down the Hocks transition game, something they couldn't do in the first. Lots of encouraging signs. They're coming together.

That pass to O'Reilly was a fantastic play
I know he & O'Reilly have developed some awesome chemistry, but maybe they should put him with Eichel... we need to find someone that can play with him
And I think O'Reilly can be productive regardless
