See my last post. They just have to keep trying. But Tyrod isn't the guy. - Pairo11
I hope they still try but I'm gonna hold onto tyrod for another year while we continue to look. I'm not done with him already. |

Outside of the Titans game. Agree wholeheartedly. Like I said, I'm on the fence about him.
I wrote 3 maybe 4 weeks ago that he could be the worst thing to happen to the team in some time. Not because he's bad, but because he's NOT bad. He's just good enough to win a couples games on his own(see: Titans game), his stats, for the most part are good, but I don't think at this time he's good enough to put us over the top and we could end up passing on a franchise QB, because we'll be too good to get a top pick and because he's good enough that we'll use the pick elsewhere. - Wetbandit1
I think a lot of people are gonna focus on the defense. Rex was supposed to do much much better. And thats very true. But defense can be fixed with a solid draft, a couple free agent signings, and a good coordinator. There is no fix for having an average qb. Your glass ceiling is 10-6 and a first round exit. God i hate the 3 yards and a cloud of dust mentality. I want a guy to throw 40+ times a game, and so does the league itself. I didnt see enough from taylor to think hes gonna be the qb to get us where we wanna go. |

Oh god. My children will make fun of me for being a fan of the Buffalo Bills . Its pathetic that I have never watched the Bills in the playoffs. Was 1,2,3, and 4 years old for all the superbowl runs. The best bills team i have seen was the 9-7 Bills of last year - Smittyx36
No, the Music City Miracle team was head and shoulders better. They either had the best or 2nd best defense in the league and Doug Flutie, well up until that game anyway. That was the last good team we had, it's also the last time we went to the playoffs. Coincidence? Honorable mention is the Bills the last year under Malarkey where we were 9-7 and started slow if I remember correctly, but then went on a tear and all we had to do was beat the Steelers backups in week 17 (Roethlisballs played a series maybe, if he played at all which thinking back I don't think he played at all.) and we were in the playoffs but were unable to. I want to say it was Bledsoe's last year too, but I'm not sure.
Best team I've ever seen. Is the '90-'93 4 Super Bowl version although I was only 5 for Super Bowl XXV I still remember it to this day. Parts of it like it was yesterday.
I had on a blue background Super Bowl T-Shirt that I think was an adult medium, so it was basically my pajamas; which we bought at Wilson Farms in NT across from Mobil on East Robinson and Division.
I was allowed to stay up late for it because my normal bedtime was 8.
It was a full moon or close to it, and they showed a shot of the moon and a few clouds right before the game started.
I remember The "Brrruuuuuuuuuuuuuuce" when he was introduced, Whitney Houston nailing the National Anthem, them showing the troops in the desert, the safety on Hostetler, I was asleep for the kick because well, I was 5 years old, but I remember waking up right and seeing everyone in shock/disbelief. Then it was off to bed. And last, but not least Bud Bowl!! don't remember who won, but those were my favorite commercials as a little kid.
I also remember a few years later the "Greatest Comeback in History" game against the Oilers where we were down 35-3 at half. I don't remember watching the game live. But a few weeks later, I think it was the Friday before the Super Bowl, some teacher taped the game and brought it in and half the school filed into the auditorium and we watched the game all I remember was the teachers telling us to never give up, never quit. The only play from the game I remember is the surprise insides kick by Christie to start the second half.
Super Bowl XXVI was my least remembered one, all I remember were all the interceptions.
And of course I remember getting crushed by the Cowboys twice. And I remember actually having the lead at halftime of XXVIII and the adults were saying "this is it!" "We can do this!" And that quickly turned into cries of "I can't believe it happened again"
During that run the Bills went 49-15 combined in the regular season; we went 13-3, 13-3, 11-5, and 12-4.
I'm pretty sure this isn't total gibberish. I took my Ambien, but wanted to reply, so I hope it's readable. Good night. |

I think i'm gonna take a sabbatical from these boards...they are getting hostile...it hasn't realy been fun to come on here the past few days - feetontheair22
Not trying to be a Richard, but why come on here and say these types of things, is it for a drama effect?
I mean , just don't come on the board then, you certainly don't need to announce it.
I'm just curious as to why people make these types of announcements, besides drama, especially on a hockey message board. |

Man this place stinks... We got one guy who pretends to change for a week and comes back even worse than ever before and we got "newer" guys trying soooo hard to be funny and clever that its super annoying. Its very easy to see why so many once active posters disappeared. - Smittyx36

Nope. This is a place where your $ holds zero value. I have disagreed with people on here and I don't have to bring up my profession or anything non sports related to argue my point. You're lame and very annoying. Enjoy the $$ while you have it because you can't take it with you when you go |

Anyway.....
Has anyone been watching the Amerks games this year? I see the stat recaps but I haven't read much about how some of the young guys are progressing. I know there are only 3 or 4 guys down there worth talking about. |

Sam is having one hell of a stretch lately. Are their still people that complain about picking him over Bennett? Leon has been good but he is a bit more streaky.. |

It was sweet, i thought we played well Saturday just not well enough to hold on obviously. What happened to us being good during shootouts? We used to be about the top team when it went to a shootout and we used to have to complain about not winning in regulation |

I think that we've yet to scratch the surface on what Reinhart is going to be able to do. The consistency in his game is going to be key. You can really see how he's adjusted to the speed of the game. He wasn't able to do this last year. There were going to be some growing pains with him mostly because his best attribute is how he sees the game. He was a step behind before because the speed is so much faster in the NHL. He's figured that out now and you can really see it.
Eichel has looked good again the last 2 as well. This 6 day break should really benefit both of them at this stage of the season. There's still work that needs to be done overall across the team, but in general, I like what I've seen this year. |

Agree completely on Reinhart. I would have been happy if he was looking decent on a 3rd line by the end of this year. I never expected him to look this good so early in the season. You can see his confidence grow with each game and with it comes the passes that only elite players can make.
I still think Jack looks lost but I bet some of that is exhaustion. I wish that he would stop trying to do everything by himself - maybe that comes with playing with consistent wingers. It isn't surprising that he is struggling for a bit. |

The fact that they managed to kill off all but 1 second of that 2 minute 5 on 3 was pretty impressive. They held their own against the Stanley Cup champions, so there's something. |

It is and I'm glad were competitive in the games against the better teams of the league... though that makes our little west coast 0-3 swing a little harder to understand but ups and downs of a new team i suppose |

Likely Tyrod and Wilson.
Rex should be fired for screwing up this D, changing the scheme to that which they are not built for, then blaming it on the players. This will lead to unnecessary retooling of personnel, effectively wasting precious assets.
In the meantime, the O-line completely sucks, we need another WR...and obviously we need to draft a QB....all of which are now in jeopardy because Mr. We Are Going To Be The #1Defense completely screwed the pooch. |

You're going to see those roles reverse, and then probably reverse back again, and then lather, rinse, repeat at least a few times throughout the season. Reinhart will have a rough stretch of games, and Eichel will start to play well again. They're both still very young, and that's what happens with young players. |

My point was the stats alone don't matter. It's about what point of the game those stats are achieved. It's not uncommon for a quarterback to achieve extra yards and even touchdowns when the game is already decided. |

The Rangers made that same trip right after us and came out of it with 1 point in 3 games. When I saw that, I felt a bit better about the fact that we struggled out there. |
