The Rangers made that same trip right after us and came out of it with 1 point in 3 games. When I saw that, I felt a bit better about the fact that we struggled out there. - HonkFortheGoose
The real test will be after the all star break. I want to see how this team reacts when they play teams that are desperate for points and playoff positioning. |

Yup, definitely. Not worried about Jack at all. I even suspect that it might be a while and then all of the sudden the light will go on and he will look like a world-beater. - Slump Buster
You can see flashes of how good he's going to be, which is why I haven't been all that upset with his play recently. If there weren't those times during the games, I'd be concerned. He's figuring things out and it comes with the territory of starting your first NHL season at 18 years old. |

Nope. This is a place where your $ holds zero value. I have disagreed with people on here and I don't have to bring up my profession or anything non sports related to argue my point. You're lame and very annoying. Enjoy the $$ while you have it because you can't take it with you when you go - Smittyx36
Sounds like you may be in need of a tissue.
Don't like what I type?
Simple solution as any "ref" would say here, don't read it!
And by the way, I know more about peoples lives on this hockey message board than I do with some of my friends and family on Facebook.
I could give you examples, but I don't want to unnecessarily embarrass anyone. |

Speaking of Rangers I'd like to thank Mr. Lundqvist for letting up 5 on 24 SA last night. Totally killed me in my head to head fantasy league. |

You start off with a solid point, then veer dangerously close to bannable territory. I'm just replying to the last post, and will also take out anyone who is more interested in personal slapfights than talking about hockey.
Please, everyone, stay on topic. |

Soooo....
How about that pass Reinhart made to O'Reilly on Saturday? - HonkFortheGoose
Samson is going to be an Adam Oates type player with hopefully a bit more scoring touch.
Love Samson's game ! |

I had a great view of that pass too. I was sitting in the corner behind where O'Reilly was standing.
It was also a great play by McCabe as well. He's looked a lot better since his evening the the press box recently. |

How'd Ennis look first game back? I know he wasn't on the score sheet but did he look more "in the game"? |

Ennis still seems to be working out a case of cement feet. I'm not too worried after his consistency over the past 2 years, but I didn't think he was his normal impactful self personally. |

I thought he looked a bit more like himself, though his timing may have been off a bit. But I thought he actually looked pretty good overall. He wasn't doing all the crazy individual stuff we were seeing from him before he got hurt. |

I could stand a break, don't know about the team.
It's not like we were flying high going into it, so clean slate, all that.
And yeah, great seeing the gang. Hope cabin enjoys all the weird beer I left in his fridge. |

McCabe is really sneaky good and I think his ceiling is higher than maybe many of us thought it was. |

Since we are hitting the break point lets discuss who has impressed and who has not.
Reinhart, Risto, and ROR are the obvious picks. I wanna talk about Mcginn. He has been great. He is doing what we all have wanted Foligno to do. Love his game.
Kane on the other hand is really upsetting for me. I thought I would like the fact that he takes a lot of shots... I don't. It kills any sort of offensive possession which is key when you have Eichel on a line with you. Eichel is constantly skating up and down the ice and i can see why he is having a hard time getting things going lately... |

I think Kane and Eichel are suffering from the same thing: they are struggling to fit and find someone they gel with. They both like to carry the puck, maybe a little too much. That's also why I like them together.

That one was....interesting. I didn't hate it, but wasn't sure if I'd want to drink a whole one.
I'd like to see Jack come out flying after this 6 day break. I think it'll do them some good to get a bit of practice time too in these few days before the actual NHL Christmas break. |

Our schedule this year is a mess. I've never seen something so messed up before. We haven't even played Boston yet this year and they're in our division, yet we've played Dallas, St. Louis, and Nashville all twice, and have finished our season series with Tampa. I think we also only have 1 game left with Florida and we've played 1 game against the Leafs and don't play another one until March. |

I think we have two major questions to answer in the long term. That's really pretty amazing considering where we were a year ago.
1) We need one more D, but in which slot? I don't know that Psysk is top pairing guy. He might be. If so, then we only need to fill in the last D spot (and that would probably be Guhle).
2) Who is the last member of the top 6? I am assuming that he isn't on the team right now. Could be Fasching, Bailey or Baptiste.
I don't consider goaltending to be a huge question (you can find them anywhere) nor am I worried about bottom 6. |

I'm hoping it's Baptiste. He's got the wheels to keep up with Eichel and played last year on McDavid's wing, so I think he could be a really good fit. They looked good together during the propsect tournament back in September as well. But I think he needs some time to adjust. He's not exactly killing it in Rochester, though he was kind of a late bloomer in Jr as well, so I think he just needs time. |

I say, why not try Evan Rodrigues with Jack, what do we have to lose?
