No idea, love McGinn's game. I read somewhere that Murray wanted McGinn as part of the ROR deal. He stays imo.
- mhp

I agree

he will be a fixture on the second or third line

IMO it's gointa, moulson, and ennis on the hot seat

are we good yet?
- homiedclown

Yes - we're good NOW. Root NOW.

I don't want to hear about a few vets who are underperforming. I don't care whether some think our young guys are not everything they should be.

I look at the fact that a group of cast-offs leftovers and teenagers, almost all of them strangers to one another came together under a brand new second choice head coach, learned a new system, and figured out how to play together against most of the leagues toughest teams. And instead of being devastated and confused, we get a week of vacation and Holidays with the family within striking range of the post season.

And to prove that we not only survived but improved through it all, yesterday the Death Star rolled in and we (frank)ing beat them. The Chicago Black Hawks left Buffalo yesterday knowing they stole that game, that the Sabres outplayed and out chanced them over the course of 65 minutes.

I know this team is going to do exciting things in the coming months and I'm certain this team will make the playoffs this spring. Go ahead, bookmark it, prepare yourselves to flaunt this in my cyber face at the end of the season. Tell me if we were really good we "would have found a way to win." I'll tell you I'm going through the window, whetting my whistle, and watching the goddamn World Series.

We're good NOW! ROOT NOW!!

Two important facts I haven't figured out how to weave into the narrative:

The movie is set in an insane asylum.

MacMurphy never gets out - he gets lobotomized.

Yep. And considering moulson moved down to the 4th line he's the obvious candidate.

We'll re-sign McGinn, trade Uggie at the deadline.
- mhp

McGinn's cost is a total mystery to me regarding his next contract, and I'd have a serious problem paying a 2nd/3rd line hybrid $4M per when the team still lacks a top line wing.

I'd rather see if they can snag a 1st round pick somehow at the deadline for him and then decide in the offseason if he is worth resigning.

I would sign him to 3 years at $3.5 per and buyout moulson.

An inspiring post Kaiser, I admire the optimism (and there certainly are plenty of things to be optimistic about) even though I don't share the same opinion of this team.

Read the book when it came out....LOVED IT.
Saw it at a high school play, fantastic.
Watched the movie several times, excellent.

Sabres are fun to watch again, I am enjoying how the team is developing...some faster than others...and some just aren't there period...but to me that is what the fun is...watching it all come together.

I don't know about playoffs...as they seem to now be playing to the level of their competition....it is a GREAT feeling to root for a win again though.

That pass by Samson was unbelievable...we are seeing his high hockey IQ ... Him and O'Reilly got it going on.
Now we need for so e chemistry between Eichel and somebody...would love to see him and Ennis mesh like that! With Kaner..we could have the KEE line (just hope it isn't the EEK line, lol.
