That's a straw man. He's 0-6 because the defense allows too many points so we have to abandon the run and throw. I'm on the fence about him. His stats are above average. His rating and TD to INT ratio are above average. He's the 5th rated passer in the league behind Wilson, Brady, Dalton and Palmer. He's got 20 TD to 5 INT, and I can think of 2 INT off the top of my head when at the end of the game he just threw it up hoping for a miracle. The only thing he's not above average in is total yards at 24th and YPG at 34th, but there are a couple guys who've only played a game or 2 ahead of him. And completion % where he's 19th removing the guys who only have a few games played.

Good QB's can sometimes win a game when they are forced to throw or come from behind. Taylor hasn't done it yet.

His stats are above average but incredibly misleading. If you look at his stats, you would think he had a good game today, if you watched you'd know that's far from the truth.

This right here says it all.

Inconsistent or poor QB play kills drives. Gotta be able to execute.

- Pairo11

He's maybe the 20th best QB. That's below average.

Man this place stinks... We got one guy who pretends to change for a week and comes back even worse than ever before and we got "newer" guys trying soooo hard to be funny and clever that its super annoying. Its very easy to see why so many once active posters disappeared.

Outside of the Titans game. Agree wholeheartedly. Like I said, I'm on the fence about him.

I wrote 3 maybe 4 weeks ago that he could be the worst thing to happen to the team in some time. Not because he's bad, but because he's NOT bad. He's just good enough to win a couples games on his own(see: Titans game), his stats, for the most part are good, but I don't think at this time he's good enough to put us over the top and we could end up passing on a franchise QB, because we'll be too good to get a top pick and because he's good enough that we'll use the pick elsewhere.

That's exactly how I feel. I'm worried we are going to settle for Taylor because he's been better than anything we have had recently, which still IMO won't be good enough.

Who knows, he could end up being really good, but based on the Bills track record, I severely doubt it

543.5 points this week wasn't enough. Lost by 6.

Edit: scratch that. I think I won by 1. I thought that Crawford didn't get his credit for the win yet like they do sometimes. But it looks like he did and I squeaked by by a point. Whew.

I wouldn't be worried. From Whaleys comments it definitely sounds like he is planning on drafting a QB in the 1st or 2nd. Let whoever we draft sit a year and we will have another year to see if Tyrod improves. He has a beautiful deep ball, limits his mistakes, and can make big plays with his legs when needed. He just needs to learn to read the whole field.

I saw that too, although I didn't get the 1st or 2nd round part, just that if there's a guy they like they'll take him which was pretty noncommittal. But there also don't seem to be any franchise QBs in this years draft, and in any event we would be picking too late anyway. Sure we could hit, but remember EJ?

We settled for Trent Edwards, JP, Fitz. It'll be no different with Tyrod. GM's tend to cling on to hope that the best available option will pan out somehow. Best available is NOT good enough.

Fitz is going to the playoffs... And Tyrod could retire today and he will have already been a better qb than trent and jp combined. They didn't draft tyrod. Lets be honest here. Unless Brady, Rodgers, Palmer, Big Ben, or Cam were are QB we wouldn't have been in the playoffs regardless. Even with those QBs chances are we miss. O line has completely fallen apart, the defense is just terrible. Key injuries to Aaaron, Kyle, Gilmore, and Bradham turned the average D "average because of Rex's terrible scheme that doesn't fit our players" into a terrible one. And missing Clay and having no other real threat at WR besides Sammy hurts too.

Put Tyrod on the Cardinals, Jets, Broncos, etc and you see him make the playoffs.

I'd take Fitzpatrick over any of those guys for his beard alone.

For the first time in 7 or 8 years as a starter. That's an outlier

Guys like Roethlisberger, Rodgers, Manning, Brady etc are there almost every year.

My point is that unless you have one of the elite qbs in this league you aren't winning unless you have a good team surrounding your qb. I'd love to have one of those guys and im certainly not against drafting a qb. But Tyrod is the best option right now and i don't see many other good options out there. We gotta fix the D and O line. Unfortunately Rex is here for another year so we gotta watch him completely retool the Defense to fit is schemes.

Put Tyrod on any of those teams they might make the playoffs but will not win a playoff game (probably) and wouldn't sniff a Super Bowl. After all that's the goal right ?

Oh god. My children will make fun of me for being a fan of the Buffalo Bills . Its pathetic that I have never watched the Bills in the playoffs. Was 1,2,3, and 4 years old for all the superbowl runs. The best bills team i have seen was the 9-7 Bills of last year

So whats your magical plan? These elite qbs don't grow on trees and they rarely become available via trade/free agency.

I agree but I think they should be begging, borrowing, stealing (or drafting) every year for a chance to get a QB. Look at Palmer. Practically any team could have had him but I believe he had a short list and did what he wanted to do.

The Bills have only made the playoffs 4 times during my lifetime. Needless too say I can't remember any of those times. I'm just glad I'm way more into hockey than football. Lol
