He couldn't see around Dubinsky, but he is definitely fighting the puck right now.

I expect the Jackets to come out physical for the third. Let's see what we are made of.

Is there a camera in the Ass Jackets room? Love to see what Torts is saying right now!!

WBS guys have added a huge breath of fresh air. Sheary, Wilson and Porter all husseling their asses off, and it seems to be contagious to the rest of the team. Weak goaltending is helping our cause, but this shot of hussle and grinding physical play hasn't been seen all year.

I have to admit, Sheary playing along side with Malkin makes me smile.

Gotta agree with you. I'm not ready to anoint him or anything, but he's definitely earned a few games. Perhaps I'd keep the Sheary-Malkin-Hornqvist line together for a while and try Crosby with Kessel again?

I'm starting to buy into giving Kessel his own line.

I've never been anti-fighting. I hate staged fights between two plugs that amicably agreed to a joust before a face off. I love it when emotions take over players and they drop the gloves. I still cannot justify giving a roster spot to a goon who's only job is to throw punches. A good team with a cohesive locker room should always be willing to go to war for each other.

If they continue to click I'd keep Kessel with Bonino, don't saddle Kessel with Sid at this point...

This league leaves little option other than to fight! I'm not for keeping skill out but there needs to be violence to survive unfortunately. Every team that has won & played a scf has had guys that will drop the gloves or ko someone in a hit that borders illegal!

We have tried to play without retaliation & it hasn't worked. The team is not skilful of fast enough & all other teams know that!

anyone thinking that instead of the coach losing the dressing room maybe it was the captain? i dont think its a coincidence how well we are playing right now with sid scratched. and no im not on the trade sid bandwagon, but i do believe geno earned the C and sid needs to prove to his team in his back in it to win it.

I don't think Johnston lost the room, I just think he was a poor coach.

I was waiting for a post like this. You don't take the C away from Sid unless you're prepared to trade him for a crap return. It will get ugly quick.

This is Columbus, not Dallas or Washington. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Be more fun to make all time teams. I'll take the CHL you can take the rest of the entire world. You'll take 3 weeks I'll take 10 minutes and my team will crush yours.

I don't know about crush... I get Malkin, Ovechkin, Backstrom, Kopitar, Tarasenko, Kessel, Nyquist, Bjustad, Paccereti, Parisse, Backes, Wheeler, Oshie, Okposo Statsny, JVR, and Kessler as top six options. Shattenkirk, Suter, Faulk, and Paryako, Trouba, McD and Leddy as top 4 options. And Johnny Quick in goal.

I'm fine with that team going up against the CHL boys. You guys are favored for sure, but that team can hang.

EDIT: Oh well you said all time. Whatever...

Agree! I would also like to see Sheary stay even when Crosby and Bennett are healthy. Some one else had the idea of sending Plotnikov down which isn't a bad idea, he could use it.

Kunitz - Crosby - Bennett
Sheary - Malkin - Hornqvist
Wilson - Bonino - Kessel
Perron - Cullen - Fehr

- Weisenheimer

Kunitz is on the block, I'd like to see them pick up an Andrew Cogliano speedy type but those lines look good. Scotty Wilson earned himself another game or 2 tonight no question. But yeah Plotnikov needs to get down in that winning WBS atmosphere for awhile. Look at the heart these 2 kids play with. Sheary is tiny and he's absolutely fearless but not stupid about it.

This d-corps with Letang instead of Lovesuck and it's really not bad at all. I'm watching the Columbus broadcast and they are RAVING about Dumoulin and have been all night. Said he's their defenseman of the future! It was not that long ago I felt like the only one that felt exactly that way. 5 GOALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
