Well at least you are admitting that. I am not claiming to be a cap expert either...there is only a certain amount of info that we have at our disposal, but I am trying to understand it along with everyone here. The way I understand it, that 893k is not a hard number. It moves based off of who gets called up and due to performance bonuses.

NHL numbers is clearly factoring some kind of performance bonus for Laughton and Ghost. If you remove mannings salary and add Streit...it does fit under the cap, which is all that would be needed for now.

I did some further research last night and looked at the numbers again. I think you were right about Laughton and Gostisbehere's cap hits. So if we use their base salary cap hits, using the bonus cushion, that would cut the original number I gave of 893,000 about in half, to a number of 474,333 that the Flyers need to clear.

I would just have Streit sit out one more game. There's no rush.
