Pach, you have read my stuff already and know that the real answer is that they will acclimate and make the run in January and February.

yup...still think they have a long way to go...and it's not only learning all the new systems...the jan/feb grind is coming up, then the trade deadline, then a bevy of teams fighting for the playoffs...for a young team, that will probably take it's toll...and, as well as johnny and Ullmark have played, i'm still taking a cautiously optimistic approach with the goaltenders...even when Lehner comes back

The only reason I'm not complaining about Girgensons hitting the scoresheet more often is because he's got a ton of responsibility on his shoulders each night in facing the oppositions top line. He's doing a hell of a job at it too, if you ask me. I know Bylsma has said that he really likes how Girgs has been playing as well. I'd love to see him get a few goals here and there, but he's not playing an ineffective game. - HonkFortheGoose
He's played well, but you have to score in the NHL if you are going to play 15+ minutes as a forward. I think eventually he will get some puck luck but this is one hell of a drought considering how he scored at a decent pace last year

A lot of that time is in his own end to though, I along with others am not concerned he is playing great for what he is being asked to do. Would it be nice for him to pot a couple? Sure. But not really needed in that role.

I think it is needed though that's the problem. We are a very low scoring team.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but I find it alarming that the two players that actually looked decent under the former coach of this franchise are struggling mightily under a coach that actually institutes structure and a gameplan.
