I always like reading Kris Bakers stuff. I have no time to dedicate to our prospects and he seems pretty even keeled in his evaluation of them….

Girgs is a -1 and is playing against top talent. He's also got a 3.8% shooting percentage. I think he'll be fine and eventually it'll work itself out. But he's playing the role asked of him VERY well.

Regardless of the role he plays he should be contributing. Same goes for any of the forwards

This. If he can do his job of shutting down their players and still net 15 goals and 20-30 assists he'll be the player this team really needs. Maybe Bylsma is trying to keep his numbers down so he doesn't get as much of a cap hit to afford Stamkos

Also, based on on ice Sv%, it appears Girgensons is getting just as lucky in the defensive zone, as he is unlucky in the offensive zone. It's weird. No goals seem to ever be scored when he's on the ice

You have to figure (well maybe hope) over the 2nd half of the season this will regress back to normal....

It might have to do with whatever group of 5 is out on the ice when he is.

My highschool german teacher, Frau Wiener (no lie), came to one of our graduation parties and got very drunk. She spent alot of time hanging around my friend Donny that night, and they left at the same time. He claimed it happened, and I think it was true.

My first grade and eighth grade teacher....same woman....was previously a Bunny at the old Playboy club near the airport. My god, she could teach cursive.

Edit. Her cursive was impeccible. I did not learn much in 8th due to being consrantly distracted.

I definitely want to see more secondary scoring as I think that's the achilles heel of this team right now. If the top guys aren't getting it done, we're getting nothing from anywhere else with the exception of Risto on the back end. That needs to change. We need the D contributing a bit more and we need our bottom 6 to be chipping in as well.

Coming home tomorrow and staying until next Wednesday... Any games scheduled in town?
