Armia looks like he's getting comfortable in the NHL. Made a few nice plays the other night. I haven't written him off yet like others.

Cornel/Karabacek are nothings IMO

- sbroads24

I have not written him off yet either, but he is going to need to start producing at least a few points to get me to even remotely believe in him long term.

A few nice plays that produce nothing is far from exciting at this point in his career.

Armia might eventually do something, but that kid has been taking his sweet time. Even this year, 8 points in 18 AHL games. It's not terrible but he's 22 so if he's going to break out before he peaks at 25 he better hurry up.

As for Cornel, I won't say he's nothing. He's 21st in OHL scoring. Not lighting up the world, but he's doing better than some of our prospect and he's only 19.

- Zschalberg

Armia has the same issue that Bailey/Baptitste have, his surrounding cast in the AHL is dreadful.

Cornel is in his 4th year of Juniors, he should be dominating if he's still there

He's getting the Sam Reinhart treatment on the 4th line with players like Andrew Copp and Chris Thorburn. If he get's an opportunity with injury and still does nothing I think it will be telling

My issue with Armia is the same as it was with Vanek. If he's not interested in the game, he's not worth having out there. Does he have the talent to be really good? Absolutely, the problem is he doesn't have the heart to go along with it, and both are equally important.

I never got the impression he was lazy, he looked timid to me. Almost afraid to screw up.

Of all the "prospects" we moved, Armia and Grigo annoyed me just because I spent 2-3 years following them and wanted to see them pan out here.

If you go back and watch some of the international tournaments he played in after we drafted him, you'd see what I mean. But I get what you're saying, because the games I saw of him in Rochester he definitely just did not ever seem comfortable.

"To put into perspective just how good this kid from Arizona is, had he been born a few days earlier he would have been eligible for the 2015 draft. The conversation there would have been less about Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel, and more about McDavid and Matthews vying to become the No. 1 overall pick.

It's no knock on Eichel, a great player in his own right. It's just that Matthews projects to be even better. One Eastern Conference"

I love the next best thing hype. Matthews was nowhere close to Eichel last year, and as the article states, he was only days removed from being eligible for the '15 draft

All that said, it sure would be nice to win the lottery and get the chance to draft him number 1 overall.

I would have no complaints about it, that's for sure. Though I don't think our chances will be all that great. I feel like we're going to end up somewhere around 7-10.

For some strange reason, I think they are going to end up with either the 2nd or 3rd pick.

My luck says that we'll get the 1st overall because I can't go to the Draft even though it's here in Buffalo. My best friend decided somehow that that was a good day to get married.

I am pretty sure matthews smashed eichels ushl records.

He could have worded it a bit better, it sounds like some kind of bias. However it isnt some kind of groundbreaking projection.

I think it just comes down to what you prefer or what you believe is a better trait to have in a number one centre (assuming Matthews plays out his career as a centre)

The Sabres have only sold out two games this year?

And only 4 have eclipsed the old 18,690 mark.

So where did they add like 500 seats?

The last game I went to Ron Rolston was still coach and Grigorenko showed promise. It was a 4-0 loss to the Islanders, but in fairness, Nabokov stood on his head.

I have a bum knee/back so all that walking really sucks. And I couldn't walk for 4 days after the last game I went to.

Once they added TVs in the men's room, each urinal counts as a potential occupant.

Slow in here today....me too, had just a weeebit more than I seemed to require last night...but I digress.
Methinks that GMTM should be ready to pull the trigger...but needs to evaluate Ennis' game a bit more. Why his game has fallen off is still in question, hopefully some type of short term condition that has been addressed most recently.
Personally I hope the old Ennis shows up and builds chemistry with Eichel...that would be the next best thing for the Sabres seeing that line click!

I'm a huge Ennis fan, but I think it's fair to say that if we can upgrade on the RW it should be considered.

He scores goals on a sh!!te team and can't function on a better team. Must be going downhill, he's 26 after all.

No, but if you expect him to suddenly become a 30 goal scorer consistently it probably won't happen.
