Does anyone know if Tanev is day to day or in a cast?
I know this comment will take some heat , but I still don't think we get enough bang for our buck with Tanev. He doesn't hit, he doesn't score , but he does munch minutes. Last night was a small example but Pedan had close to 10 hits last night. He put some fear into the other team . We have not seen that since Jovo. He is 1/4 the cost and does one thing well . Tanev is a jack of trades master of none. |

Tanev is overrated.
Greiss is a starter now. I've got 4 starting goalies.

I wanted the Canucks to lose last night but cheered out loud when Hansen scored in OT, I'm so conflicted, I think I should be watching all games drunk. |

Anyone on utica > Higgins
Would like to see Grenier or even Vey take Burrows spot on the RW, even Jensen for that matter - phyllee
vey and jensen are apparently busts so no....Grenier maybe yes.....depends how defensively responsible he is. If he can PK etc |

I know what you mean. I was happy for Hansen too.
This years draft from what I see and read , there is not a huge difference between 2-15 in the draft this year. That could change as we get closer but after Mathews it is a crap shoot. |

Im sure they would both be more entertaining then Burrows, plus id be willing to bet with who burr plays with both those two would put up more points then burrows |

it doesnt appear as if burrows is being used in any form of point getting role though.
while Im not an AV fan, he did seem to get the best out of burrows. He was at his best under AV, not before not after. Perhaps if you really want him gone NYR would be a good trade destination |

Don't forget that the rest of the is "But better than a master of one." |

I would look at Edwards or Tufte for LW . Both big boys 6'4 . We need some size on the left side. Hope for a Wheeler type forward |

We need defense. unless we gets 1st oa or multiple 1st rounders we should draft d in the first round. |

Tanev isn't really a jack of all trades. He is good at one thing. Safe minutes |

Waste of a pick taking D in the first this year. You can get something of same value in the second |

admittedly I am not up on who is available in the draft this year, so I couldnt say exactly. More just that we need to draft defense as we have several forward prospects in the farm. We are starving for D right now. We moved a guy up, moved 2 out as well. Pretty thin on farm now.
I see you are saying there are players in 2nd that are as valuable as 1st. That can be difficult to gauge, but its not my area at all I would say so I'll take your word for it.
very difficult to say what to do at all until we know what position we are in in the draft anyways. |

That's what we always do though.
How long has it been since we drafted a 1st rd Dman?? Bourdon???
I'm not saying you're wrong, i don't know enough about this year's prospects so far out, but if we have multiple 1st round picks, i would hope we'd take a flyer on a Dman. |

Take D in the first and second round if thats the case. |

Chych, Fabbri, Jake Bean - Retinalz
Chych was cut by Team Canada and dropping in value. He will be ok but he is not a Jones Sanheim Fluery Ekblad. He is a project Dman that will take 3-4 years.
Fabric is a smaller offensive type D , similar to Hutton but again years away. This is stuff you can get in the later rounds |
