3 goals in 6 years. He makes Tanev look like a scoring machine.
Pedan is a bigger cheaper younger harder hitter. Like I said I don't care if we get him , but people are getting excited over very little - VANTEL
Yeah I hear you it just seems CHI seems to always find those Swede type Dmen that turn into something more so I could see some of the appeal with Rundblad...just not much. |

Sutter will be back soon. We just have to squeak by this year. With the cap space we can shop for a top 6 player this summer. Grenier stepping in for four weeks wouldn't hurt as much as we think. Would it matter if we slipped from 21 St to 25 th? - VANTEL
Id like to not sign any big names this summer and bring Rodin back from the SHL. Like you suggested previously hold on to the space for the following season in hopes of landing Benn. |

It is interesting today the fact that the Habs didn't have Emelin Eller and Tinordi on the ice for no reason. It adds fuel to the fire of MTL looking to make a trade.
The two names I seen in play are Wayne Simmonds and Vrbata . I seen who the Habs had on RW on Saturday and that explains everything about why they need to do something. They could go after both players.
I would like to get Tinordi and a third for Vrbata. Tinordi has been written off but IMO would be a good partner with Pedan. Both players are an adventure but so is Sbisa and Weber. That bottom pairing would provide a lot of big hits and toughness , and they would have each other's back. They are both extremely young and can learn the game together - VANTEL
His salary will cripple them. They only have 900k cap available and their biggest contract coming off the books is 1mil. Simmonds is almost 4mil cap. they would be banking on a 3mil increase in cap being the only way they can keep him in off season. Would look bad on a gm overpaying for him(costs more than vrbata) as a rental and then trading at a significant loss on the off season. Why would a team offer value for a player they literally cannot afford. |

Long shot but I could wait too. We will still be transitioning next year . By then Boeser will have developed two years and JV I think will be playing third line energy guy.
There are lots of good things happening to the team. Markstrom looks solid and Hutton and Biega look like nice additions on the back end.
Not holding my breath on Rodin. When JB talks about him he never sounds too excited |

Would love to see Pedan crush 7 Queens then cap it off by beating the carp out of Lucic...just don't hurt him too bad for when he signs in Van next year... - LordHumungous
I don't want to see Pedan fight and concussed (don't want him seen as a guy that fights more than once or twice a season). have him there as a more nuclear deterrent.
let Prust or Dorsett earn their $$$ |

I am not a fan of any plan that involves hoping for a local boy to come home.
Does not seem to happen often.
Especially when Benn is top 5 forward on a team that is suddenly doing well and has the money to pay him |

Hope and a prayer. Long shot for sure but if you have 10 mil waiting for him , sometimes money talks |

Fun for fans to dream about, but not a good business plan.
Tom Gaglardi will open the purse strings too.
I can't see him losing Benn to FA. |

I agree . I think the only way it could ever happen is if fans on social media started to campaign a Please Come Home a year ahead and we had boatloads of money for him.
I am with you , it's not going to happen but it's fun to dream
I can see Johansen signing here when he hits UFA in three years |

Salary cap going up 4 mil next year. Vrbata is an expiring contract. There is no problem |

Last i heard it was 3mil not 4. I also remember this year it was supposed to be higher than it is. 4 mil is a pipe dream. I hope it happens but i would expect no more than 2mil. |

Prust and Dorsett may be leading the league in fighting majors but there are still too many liberties such as the Philly game when the Sedins were getting bounced around and not much was done. I don't care who steps up Pedan or otherwise. But someone needs to step up. |

The difference between Eller and Simmonds is 400 K . One year more in length . Again there is no cap issue. |

Johansen is stupid over rated
Rundbald was a nice prospect like 6 years ago
Keep the guys we draft and develop them properly. Only free agents I want are legit top line guys and I'd give them huge money. If you can buy a top line center to replace henrik you do it no matter the cost rest of the team can be built around him. Not a pseudo no1 |

The team in general needs to be tougher. Some good signs were Bo and McCAnn stepping up. Not like the old regime that stood around and watched. Team toughness is getting better |

I want Pedan to play a physical game, just hoping he doesn't get put into a role where he feels he is expected to fight every game. You can step up and not fight, hoping he brings some element of intimidation and opponents won't be lining up to fight him. |
