Better when the 3rd overall pick is not in the game? Why did they draft him then? - MJL
optionality
he will have the most value of any of those top picks if they decide to move him.
Simmonds/Noel is a far better fit |

I don't think the Flyers trade Wayne to a whole other league, Crims |

bottom line is i watched nearly 15 years of 35-45 win basketball since that finals appearance. if you want to return to that, cool. I'm willing to let these guys try something to get beyond that. If it fails, so be it. I'm sure many will revel in that. |

It didn't work. They are returning to that
I get the whole tanking thing. I was good with it. But I wasn't down for the plan of throwing 12 20 year olds on a court and letting them figure it out as they go. Not one veteran player on the team. That's atrocious |

Oh good, trade the 3rd overall pick, and maybe Hinkie can get some more 2nd round picks. From what I can see, Hinkie is going to have to get awfully lucky to lift this team up from the embarrassment that he has turned it into.

It's simply about progress. 3 years into the Hinkie plan, and the team is going backwards. Lack of insight in needing a point guard to help develop big men. Everyone knew that except apparently Hinkie. Now they need to trade the player that they just drafted 3rd overall? What's the timeline on this Hinkie plan? When do we see a speck of light at the end of the tunnel?

Welp, it's December 29th and Wayne Simmonds is still a Flyers. You can all climb down off the bridge now.

June 28, 2059. That's the date when, with their 48th consecutive lottery pick, the Sixers draft Michael Jordan IV.

Funny question i was asked last night.
Would you rather have Schenn with Ghost's skating abilities- OR- Del Zotto with Pronger's size? |

MDZ with Pronger's size. Schenn problems usually arise from poor decision making as much as his lack of speed. OTOH, a 6'6 220lbs MDZ could really be a force.

I said so as well, but my buddy really like the idea of having Luke Schenn and dynamic skating in the same package. Id like both lol.
It spawned a whole "if you could add one skill set to a current player" talk. |

I actually misunderstood the question. For some reason Brayden Schenn popped into my head. Id still go with the latter though. Del Zotto has better puck skills. |
