He has not dominated yet the way he should be for all the hype. Canada - Sweden New years eve is the next big game. .

I just don't get it what does he have to do to impress you smh |

This year is a lot different. Every team is close. We're 5 points out of last with Columbus playing two more games than us. At the same point we're eight points out of the playoffs, which may seem like a lot but is only four games. If we go on a role we're right back in it. |

Their record so far tells me that for every hot streak there will be a cold one. Granted they are without pysyk/lehner and we don't know what the approach will be on deadline day.
Probably won't be matthews but they've got a real shot at some of the other big wingers (tkachuk, puljujarvi, laine etc.) |

Watched them all. Want him to take over a game and impose his will. |

They'd be stupid to sell at the deadline unless those sells were people Murray didn't want on the team at the end of the year like Moulson or Gionta. McGinn is a must resign. I think being so young of a team if they start to figure things out they can go hot quick. Still too early to tell. |

I'd like McGinn back but his contract demands or what teams offer for him may change that.
Like if a team offered up a first for him i wouldn't think twice about it. |

Moulson and Gionta both have no trades I believe. Would be neat if they pull it off.

If a team offered a first I'd consider it but McGinn needs to be brought back unless he's asking for more than 5.5 a year. I don't know what he's getting paid now but he'll likely get a slight raise from that next yer. |

Both have roots in this area. And seemingly came here to end their careers. |

Yeah they both are. I doubt either would agree to anything. Especially during the season. Wouldn't mind trading Ennis for a 1st and a high winger or d prospect. |

I think he's making around 3 mil now. I'd have a hard time giving him more than 3.5 long term. He's a good #7 forward to have but you can't be overpaying for those players either. |

How about 4 years at 4 a year . Front loaded. ? |

Just checked, he's making 2.95 on this deal. A slight raise of 4 million a year will get it done. three years 4 million a year. He's more than a seven forward on this team. I doubt Murray does a lot of heavy UFA spending this off season meaning he's still a top six guy on our team. |

We were thinking similar things but I'd do three years and have it split 4 each time not front loaded. |

That's a bad way of looking at it though. Do you expect him to still be a top 6 forward on this team next year or the year after? If he's in your top 6 you're not very good up front. I expect GMTM will make upgrades which will push McGinn out of the top 6. As a result, probably best to not pay him too much. 4 mil for that kind of player seems like a lot when they need every bit of cap space to make the moves they need to become great. |

Beleskey got 3.8 in UFA, I'd think the offer would come at slightly less than that unless McGinn takes off in the 2nd half. |

Front loaded so the cap hit is a little less in last 2 years. Plus it makes him attractive to trade if we are so inclined. |

I think his play as of late will start to raise his value. He must be turning heads at this point. Last month he is really coming into his own . He has injured last year . I think he is going to get better yet if he stays healthy
