I often wonder if the NHL is going to collapse in on itself some day.
Sure, Bettman filled the lower bowl with high priced tickets and built more luxury boxes. But if those dont get filled, the owners arent going to be happy. And they're not going to get filled when the game is boring.

It nearly did once before and it certainly feels like it is heading in that direction. I think Murray said it best:

"Our coaches have to come up with offensive schemes to match defensive schemes," Murray told the AP. "And obviously, it's easier to coach defense than it is to coach offense. So we're not there yet."

And part of that problem is it's hard to teach offensive schemes that match things like the trap unless you've got the talent for it (how i feel about our powerplay most nights)

I've said nothing about any of those guys and their off ice escapades. Maybe you have a problem with it, but whatever. I can't change what they do. I've actually said the same thing that Homie did. Players in all the major sports leagues have been doing this stuff for decades, but we hear a lot more about it now because of the internet and dozens of social media outlets (such as this one) that didn't exist back then.

Kane(Evander) didn't rape anybody. He cheated on his GF. If he's guilty of anything it's of being very well endowed. Unlike this other Kane situation this one will end with him paying to make this go away.

But I don't blame people for having an issue with it. Kane needs to be smarter.

This I definitely agree with. But really, this happens with regular people all the time. I couldn't tell you how many times I've gone to work and had a co-worker whining all day about how hung over they are. My reply is "I feel no sympathy for you, because you did it to yourself."

I never understood the mentality of going out and getting wasted when you know you have to get up early and work the next day, but then again, I don't really understand why getting wasted is necessary at all.
