The only thing worth saying with the Kane thing is that I'm withholding judgment. The situation is far too murky to make a call one way or the other. If he's innocent, I hope it gets established quickly and we can all move on. If he's not, I hope they nail his ass to a board and he never sees NHL ice again.

I said this the other day. I feel like after the Pat Kane situation, we should all know by now that you never know how this stuff is going to turn out. Best to let the authorities search through everything and deal with it.

If you'll indulge me, I'll attempt to persuade you that this is an easy problem to solve. Remove the troll and you won't have to sweat the 30. Instructing the board not to react to a troll - without "dealing with" the troll - blames the reaction and excuses the offense.

And if I am the offender, ban away without mercy or quarter.

While he's the type of player we probably really need, I'd prefer it be someone that's a bit younger. He's already 30. Especially if we'd have to give up a top guy in the first place.

I know you have to give to get, I just don't know that I'd want to give up any of those guys in particular. Reinhart is another one that would be a deal breaker for me.
