Zubrus (6'5", 225lbs) definitely doesn't bring the offense, but he can still hold onto the puck. Him next to Thornton (6'4", 220lbs) could make for a difficult line to handle.
By the way, I really dig Gostisbehere's game. |

It would be nice to see Neuvirth get some action tonight. He is about due for a start. The guy has been nothing but excellent. |

Hertl is on 4th line duty? Wow.
Hextall should really take a chance on that kid. Would instantly be our best LW. |

I was wondering if he might go tonight. Seems like a good time to get him in. |

He has been better than Mason over the course of the season. Guess they still are supporting him and believe he's the #1 guy |

I think he is an RFA after the season. How about a Schenn for Hertl trade. |

Trading for Hertl will only make the same situation another Center playing out of position. |

I'd rather have B Schenn, IMHO. |

Why wouldnt they?
Mason has been the start for a few seasons now while Neuvirth has done a great job over the course of what 15 games. |

Really?
I guess I think Hertl has more natural talent and I like he is a winger. Both seem like guys who might need a change. |

while its not a cup contender defense, I am so much more enthusiastic about a defense of MDZ/streit/Ghost/Medvedev/Schenn/Gudas with Schultz and Manning as the spares. |

Hertl is a center not a winger per the Sharks website roster. |

Streit and Luke Schenn probably will be gone at the trade deadline. If they can also lose Schultz and/or Manning I could see Hagg or Alt maybe both getting a cup of coffee to finish the year out. |

Ok.
I could be wrong but I have only seen him play wing. |

wouldn't be shocked to see Streit stay and moved at next year's deadline. I'd gladly take what they can get for schultz at the deadline. I like Schenn but sinces its unlikely he would be re-signed, I definitely look to move him |

I mean I haven't really had a chance to watch Hertl lately. He had a nice breakout year a couple years ago. I think he would play nice with B.Schenn if they have Schenn center.

FWIW, whether they scratch Schultz, Schenn or Medvedev, it really doesn't matter to me. They are all mediocre in their own way.

Schenn will be the easiest to move. He's younger, righthanded and in the final year of his deal.

Drop Luke off in LA on Saturday.

In some cases those designations are out of date (Giroux was listed as a RW on NHL.com for years), but Hertl has been used down the middle this season.

Yeah.
Medvedev could be an option too. I know it's his first year in NHL but he has skills and size teams like. And he is FA after the season. |
