If you're talking about the first Pavelski goal, it's not all Gudas. In the Flyers system of back checking on the rush, the forwards have weak side responsibilities. Normally he's a good defensive forward, but watch the glide all the way in from the blue line that Couturier executed. Who exactly did his cover? He should've been made to pay for a ticket to the game on that play. Put your head on a swivel, find the open man, and keep skating. That coverage is on Couturier 100%. Even if he took just a few strides, he could've gotten into that passing lane.

I'm glad I slept thru the game since there's nothing worse than losing due to a combination of bad reffing and poor penalty killing.

Neuvirth getting sick the night of his first start in two weeks was not a nice surprise to wake up to.

I don't female dog about Ref-ing very often but that was an atrocious 3rd period by the zebra's....Hakstol did his best Berube impression and didn't seem to say much....Ryan White appeared to let them know that they sucked.

your 100% correct. VDV was engaged with another player and the target is the head....25 years ago that's a clean hit....not now.

Honestly I did not see the 2nd and 3rd periods, and that is the only replay I've seen to this point. From that angle, it looks like a good hit to me. I do however reserve the right to revise that opinion, if more evidence becomes available.
