Thinking about where the team is. I think FA will allow JB to sell Vrbata and Hammer at TDL but no more. FA may be stupid when it comes to owning a hockey team, but he is good at business. Even he can see ticket sales being low is largely due to disinterest in the vets more than losing.

Kindof an outlandish claim while they continue to maintain a playoff position with half an AHL roster....but ok, i'll take ur word for it.

However the true stars do make team CAnada at a young age (McDavid, Crosby). i think the point was if he was a superstar in the making, he would have made the Team Canada cut.

As an outsider I dunno if you should be bashing the leafs oilers or any Canadian team really ...I like both their teams moving forward more than the nucks ...if this season goes well prospect wise that can change but right now the high end skill pieces just aren't there yet in van

For probably 10 years you'd be able to say that both Oiler and Leaf prospect pools were better than ours, yet between the 2 clubs they have one playoff appearance in a shortened season over that same period.

Laughing at the Leafs and Oilers is jolly good fun.

You remember when MacKinnon was there? Kid is a fantastic player, easily the best of his draft yr and probably the best in the previous 5 drafts, but he had no business at that tournament.
TSN builds Canada as a victim of some outlandish circumstance when they don't win and as the line superpower when we do win. Everybody hates Canada in this tournament because of it.
