So the schedule gets easier and they'll likely suffer less injuries but they're going to drop in the standings. You make perfect sense.

Nobody thinks the team stacks up to the 70's Habs, but in a weak division they'll likely stay in the race barring injuries to one or both of the twins.

That's definitely one way to look at it, personally I don't agree. Sounds like you're still having issues getting over something 5 years old.

I think everyone recognizes the team is mediocre at best, but so are their competition in the Pacific.

Changes have been made and will be continuing, you have an opinion, but please don't question someone else hockey sense because they don't agree with it.
