Lefty will have to straighten you guys up.

It's a really poorly constructed team that is getting exploited more and more....if they didn't start the season well we would already be in last place

The team is being destructed not constructed.

They're trying to rebuild on the fly......and it's not easy. However, these are often some of the most fun times watching a team as the young pieces begin to slot in.

If the Sedins get injured, this could be true, otherwise I think they play 500 hockey. The team is staying in the mix with injuries.

So the players that were playing well at the start and are now injured wont be coming back?

Again....I didn't say I don't enjoy it. I hate the stale old core....I love the mcanns and bieagas and pedans. I've watched years now of game in game out garbage from Higgins burrows ....a first line and three fourth lines. My loyalty to this team is unbreakable. But I do not have to blindly follow the old stale core. Just hoping they speed up the rebuild

The canucks team I have watched this season only has one McCann, one Pedan and one Biega. Are we watching the same team

Do you believe 500 hockey gets this team into the playoffs?

Don't hold your breath waiting, it's seemingly extremely difficult to move contracts in today's cap world unless you take one back. Which defeats the purpose really doesn't it?

IE: an unwanted player (Kassian) for an unwanted goaltender (Scrivens)

I don't care if we trade them. If there's no takers...waive them. You can't tell me there production couldn't be replaced by a farm call up.

Is there anyone left here that would rather have Higgins rotting away a roster spot instead of say a Guance or Grenier? Or any defenseman for webers spot?

I'd love to waive Burrows and Higgins and play one of the younger players, in fact if Higgins is on the team next year I'll probably bug-out for awhile, but their combined cap hits are 7 million.

You waive them though and you've got 5.7 million dollars in dead cap space, not only is that poor managing, it's extremely bad business. Owners wouldn't allow that.

You could head on over to the Flyers thread.

I believe they play 500 hockey until Sutter, Hamhuis, Tanev, Hutton, Sbisa and to a lesser extent Virtanen all return and are healthy. Then I think there is just as good a chance as any other in the division expect LA.

H. Sedin gets injured then bottom 5 - 10.

It's difficult because it's like watching paint dry, I get it! Transitioning out the old and slowing injecting youth that's ready takes time unless you go full teardown, which they've said they're not gonna do and I fully agree with that.
