Very impressed with the Sabres. Eichel is a monster. Need help on D and probably in net but this team will contend very soon. As for Ovechkin the guy loves to hit AND be hit and unlike Crosby never complains about it. Trotz deserves credit but the new GM Mclellan deserves more. Ovechkin for all the flak he gets has never had the depth at Center or on Defense to win a cup. Development of Kuznetsov and Holtby into superstars plus smart additions of Oshie and Williams makes this a team with no weaknesses. Only question now is can they ever develop the mental toughness needed to win a Cup.

Super lazy by Eichel. He barely even moved after receiving the puck. He practically stood around down there in near the bottom of the circle before giving up and passing it away to ROR so he could score for him.

Very rarely have the sabres had bad starts like they were having problems with earlier in the year. The are playing good hockey and hanging with good teams. Shows good coaching and players dedicating themselves.

Unfortunate loss with the questionable goal. They worked hard and probably deserved a better outcome. Especially in the first, so many chances. But Eichel looked good again. Weber leads our team in +/-.

Does anybody have any thoughts/info on the Williamsville kid, Andrew Poturalski? He's playing for Univ. of New Hampshire 17G 17A 34pts in 18GP. Still a UFA and I believe was at our development camp this past summer. Seems like a player we'd might consider giving a contract to for Rochester next year.
