roy mentioned in the same sentence with Eichel?
- Michael Pachla
there was a 4 year stretch when roy had 255 points in 275 games
the injury in late 2010 did him in, he was never the same player again |

Considering it seems like he's nowhere in the conversation for the leagues best player, I agree - sbroads24

Even if a top 5 pick is really what the team needs for their overall future? - kingcong39
where did this come from?...why is murray on the hot seat and why are the sabres finishing bottom-3? |

Yes. I dont think the general fan base will stomach another playoff-less season next year.
Granted, I think this team is definitely on a trajectory to the playoffs pretty soon, but I just want to stay the course |

don't like him on the wing...should be at center, imo - Michael Pachla
That's the problem....too many centers now....
Remember when we didn't have any? |

I have a client whose kid is 13 and plays in a travel league. He says watch out for a kid named Blysfield...13 y.o., six foot three, skates, hits and scores like Ovi and scouts are already saying the kid is NHL bound. Plays for York (near TO) i believe.
Also mentioned 2 defensemen in the same boat...Drysdale and a kid named Moore as being tagged for exempt status into the OHL, a la Eckblad was. |

to be honest, Brodie, I wouldn't be surprised if they just missed the playoffs next season |

sure do...
i'll stick to my original slotting and put him on the third line at center...I don't like him on the wall but I do like him with all that ice around him |

connly was a pass first center
roy was a shoot first center
if that makes any sense
eichel, kane are 1 and 2 in shots for the season, with kane playing 10 less games
oil and water?

yup...I think kane should be with o'reilly...o'reilly's the type who's smart enough to play off of player like kane |

the 2 caps games, shows me this team needs a few more pieces, and they need to trim a few guys
2 wingers and a top d man and try to move moulson and hope gionta retires after this season |

jvr or a gallagher type player would look really good on eichel's wing

won't argue that at all...however, unlike many who are getting nervous over this team and it's present standing, imo, there's no rush to do anything...there's still over half the season to further evaluate where each player stands and how they fit into the team and the future |

agreed, but moves need to be made before the next season, 2 or 3 moves
and they need to be the right moves |

yeah, I get it...five points separate the 30th and 23rd place teams, seven points separate 30 and 20...
why the panic? |

I really would prefer him to be in the top 6. But, that's also where I want Girgs, Eichel, and O'Reilly. So that's 4 centers out of 6 guys. It's quite the conundrum. |

Moulson and ennis underperforming hasn't helped this year...anyone who thought Gionta was more than a third-line, locker room guy at this point in his career was mistaken...
there's still a long way to go this season |
