Man, for everyone wanting to complain about Crosby, he's been playing pretty good the last dozen games or so. To me, Kessel Is the biggest disappointment of all of the "Stars." He's missed so many yawning nets its disgusting.

People are really going to be disappointed when he takes the team scoring lead from Malkin.

Everyone has missed a (frank)load of nets... Kessel isn't lighting it up like many hoped, but hes no where near as soft as advertised.

If he has the puck, or can go into a 1 on 1 battle for it, he seems more than passable... if its a 2v1, or him having to take the shot on the board... ehhhh, he pusses out a tad.

But the former, seemed like we wouldn't even get that from him.

Zatkoff has no business playing in the NHL. He is f'n awful. How many times have they said "into a wide open net" when he's in net.
- madmike71

Zatkoff is horrible, when MAF comes back Zatkoff is riding the bench in WBS in favor of Tristan Jarry if I am in charge.

He's not responsible for the horrific defense in front of him, but he virtually has no chance of bailing the team out. "wide open net" could be a drinking game when he's playing. Murray should have gotten the start if MAF is coming back this weekend.

This game has the makings of that NJ game a few weeks ago. Team hasn't even gotten off the plane yet.

Clearly Murray gives us the best chance after MAF. As far as the sluggish start, inexcusable.

The team is in a weird state of flux currently. I don't believe they are as bad as they are playing. However, their inability to play cohesively, especially the passes and communication between the forwards and D is puzzling.

If Letang is going to go head hunting due to being targeted then he needs some time off.

I think a lot has to do with the sheer amount of turnover the last few years. 3 coaches and a crazy amount of player movement. Oh and theres some bad players out there too.

I also believe the lack of size in this brand of the NHL is killing them. Tight checking games and lax rule enforcement is tough to overcome for a small team.

OK, maybe Letang needs to play angry more often. Eating crow. It goes pretty well with wine, BTW. Trying to stay away from the Rye but there is a bottle here at the party that is calling my name, Russel? Never heard of it but looks good.

I am with Letang, I am sick and tired of seeing him either chicken winged in the face or having his head put through the boards. While I understand the idea of that having a enforcer is a bygone idea maybe it's time the Penguins find someone like Wayne Simmonds who can play but also isn't going to give Komorov the choice after a hit like that.

It would also help if the NHL would figure out that the concussion lawsuits are only going to get worse unless they start actually dealing with that bullpoop. It was an obvious charge that resulted in a player missing ice time which should be the new standard for a major not the basis of an injury. As the saying goes; Suspend the act, not the result.

Softest team in Hockey and it's open season on Letang. I said this at the beginning of the year and everyone was worried about penalties or retaliation!!! How's all the 4 skilled lines working out this year? No Grit was needed we just need to ignore scrum's? If we made the playoffs Letang would be a shell of the player he could be. Malkin is next. Gets shots to the head with no answer!!!
BTW I would take Tanner Glass the worst player in the league over Politnikov or Porter!!!

Again an over-exagerated use of the word inexcusable. The Kamir Rouge was inexcusable, the Holocaust was inexcusable, Donald Trump's hair is inexcusable. Having a bad first period on the 2nd night of a back to back and playing on the road is expectable and coming from behind to tie the game is exceptional.
