His style of game was never suited for this and expectation, which they discussed before the tourney, were way too high.

He's not a high-skills guy like a Marner, that not his game.

The bad goal from the side cost them the game, the Virtanen second penalty was stupid and cost them the game, the first the guy would have been called for embellishment in North American hockey. The Marner penalty was poor as it took them off a PP, they just weren't good enough.

I remember Virtanen was being compared to Kessel at he draft. I remember thinking "PLEASE DON'T DRAFT HIM!!!" because of that. But he won't even go anywhere near Kessel. Kessel is lazy and heartless, but not a complete bonehead. Kessel actually has a brain.

VANTEL, just give it a rest for once in your life. You don't have to defend every Vancouver player under the age of 24.
