That was a great game to watch. Ending was a bit disappointing from a hockey fans perspective, as the Bruins did what they always do, become bullies.
I hope Bellesky is suspended for that cheap shot after the final whistle, no place for that in this game.

How embarrassing. 70,000 fans showed up and their team stayed at home........ yikes that was awful. |
|
|
|
Wow that was bad...Marchand getting suspended, they could have really used him today. Bruins vs Habs & Condon and the lost 5-1 in front of 70,000 people and a national TV audience, piss poor. |

Today was a complete rip off as a fan. What a pathetic an embarrassing display on a stage such as the winter classic. For a team that was turning a corner and going in a new direction this year, they puked it all up today. To get dominated by your biggest rivals yet again is inexcusable. 3 shots in a period!! Claude continues to gather wins as coach in this league but he has 0 game plan for the Habs! It seems to be play on your heels flat footed and take bad penalties, spot them a lead, then wear them down a bit and start playing desperate hockey in the 2nd and 3rd.
I hope we have seen the last of Griffith & Khoko! They are a joke. Talbot a -4!! Why was he on the ice for 4 shifts?

wtf you talking about? Was not a great game. Completely one sided, bruins didnt show up til the third which spelled their doom. Go back to wishing your own team was relevant. How many times should the crap ass canucks let their goalie be run. |

morrow was exposed as a not ready for prime time player too. So f.n. disappointing. came out flat, tired looking. only guy who gave a 60 minute effort was task. Condon had the easiest game ever as a pro. So f.n disappointing. 2 months ago i would have hoped the bruins just wouldnt get embarrassed. 2 days ago i thought they would win. |

Yes I thought the exact same thing.
This isn't even a rivalry anymore. The Bruins played good hockey for the first 7 min of the 3rd and that's it! Most guys are invisible. |

In their defence, it was a gutted roster with key pieces missing |

The biggest let down for me was the missing players. This game could have been amazing if Krecji, Marchand, and Price were all playing. It could have felt like a playoff game. Instead it almost felt like it was an exhibition game, but a lot of that had to do with the Bruins not showing up. I think the speed of the ice killed them... they've gotten faster but without heavy hitters like Marchand and Krecji (arguably the two most valuable forwards this year) they can't keep up with teams like Montreal yet. |

What I can't figure out is why they look so slow against MTL. To me they don't look that slow against many other teams. Truely embarrassed to be a Bruins fan today. |

Marchand's probably our fastest player, and Krecji is the best player at slowing the game down. I think the combo of them missing with the replacements off Koko and Griffith (I don't think he's had enough of a shot yet) was just too big to overcome. The Canadiens had their whole team minus their goalie, which doesn't really change the way your team plays. So I think missing those guys was a huge disadvantage... much more so than montreal missing Price. |

Possibly, but they look slow against the Habs with Marchand and Krejci in the lineup too. It's easy to use this as an excuse but they have been dominated by Montreal badly these last 2 years. It's looking really bad to get dominated as well and start all crap at the end of the game too. I like the rough style of play but it's childish at the end of the game. |

But how many of that 25K were hab fans? There was 67K and change in attendance, no way more than a third of them were hab fans, not even close. A good 80% wore black and gold. |

Morrow was also the only d man who could skate the puck put with any consistency. He had his defensive gaffes but to single out a rookie on the third pair for why this team got worked seems petty to me.
Never mind the rookies, who were all terrible but the supposed leaders on this team- Bergeron and Eriksson in particular were so bad... in all my years as a fan of this team I have never felt so ashamed for this team. An embarassment.
Krug, Beleskey and Rask showed up. The rest of the team didn't. Pathetic. |

I named half of the d that played, not exactly singling him out, they need to upgrade at the top and push everyone down a spot. Not a lot of games where berry's gonna look that bad, but especially as a team,.. they gotta win more face-offs... |

Why did the Bruins send C. Miller down to Prov? Is it a roster thing? Is he the only one on the D on a two way contract? He should be in the lineup every night over some of the other guys Claude keeps trotting out there.
Without Krejci this team might fall quite a bit in the standings.
Still can't believe Marchand got himself suspended right after Krejci got hurt. Marchand needs to grow up. |
