Moulson on the books for three more years after this one is going to be a problem eventually. That Moulson contract is definitely not a positive for Murray's resume. |

If McCabe and Pysyk continue to improve, Guhle turns into a top four d, we get a high pick in this years draft to address scoring winger, and Lehner or Ulmark turns into a staring goaltender, then we are only a few tweaks away from being a really good team. - SabresPanacea
Forget about Lehner, the guy is a fvcking joke.
Mark my words on that!
Ullmark is not Murray's guy, Darcy drafted him back in 2012 in the 6th round, 163rd overall. |

The man has no fire.
Or if he does, it is very little.
When it comes to "beady eyed little douche" -Murray's trades IMO have straight up sucked!
Talked to my older brother last night about this also, "the Lehner trade", in particular.
If Lehner comes in and shats the bed the way I think he is going to, Murray should be in very hot water for trading away another first round pick for straight up garbage in one of the deepest drafts in recent memory.
His trades in TOTALITY have not improved this team and he should be held accountable for it.
Darcy's Phoenix Coyotes are 18-16-4 good for 2nd place in the Pacific division.
Let that sink in for a little bit.
edit : Murray's shouts to the world that he had a man crush on Evander Kane and has wanted him on his team ever since he first watched him tells me all I need to know about this douchebags eye for talent.
He will be fired before long as I said when he was hired and many of you wanted to anoint him as some kind of Guru.
I knew better.
Murray talks a big game.
Big game , small penis. - BuffaloHardHat
I would be impressed if darcy was actually the gm of the yotes...as far as your last quote...you talk the biggest game out of anyone here...what does that say about you?

I think we'll be fine long term. The core looks good and will only get better. Some dead weight needs to be and will be moved out eventually. While I figured a top 10 pick after this season was in the cards, I'm ok if that ends up being a 2nd or 3rd. If we're not going to be close to the playoffs I'd rather have pick 2 or 3 than 7 or 8, for this year anyway.
For everyone that's really upset and thinks TM should be fired along with Bylsma (who I'm not completely sold on) I would suggest doing what I did with the Bills...stop watching and paying attention. I may get to that point with the Sabres but it will be a couple years yet. |

We are 3 points better than last season with all of douche bag Murray's moves.
He sucks!
Sorry, for me, i'd rather be the Phoenix Coyotes right now.
I'd love to have a fvcking winning record for once and having serious thoughts about a playoff series and not just pipe dreams about them.
They have some young talent there right now as well, Domi is no slouch. - BuffaloHardHat
yes i agree that winning is better than losing. can you really not see the direction this team is going? we spent 16 seasons with darcy and what was our teams identity? A team that mediocred its way to the playoffs.

Blah blah & blah.
We "seen a direction" with Darcy too.
Murray has certainly not separated himself as a better GM than Darcy.
In fact, I think he is worse and his trades prove me right thus far not that I even care about being right because i'd rather be wrong and this fvcking team be winning!!
This Lehner thing will be the be all end all for me with Murray.
Any dumb fvck off of the street could do what Murray did to get Eichel.
His trades have left much to be desired.
His man crush on an average player Kane.
Murray himself is average if not worse as GM.
Average appeals to average I suppose. |

Ullmark looks good, Zemgus looking better, and McCabe (despite his struggles) seems to be coming along well. None of them were drafted by GMTM and yet I don't see any of them going anywhere. Murray doesn't like Russians. That doesn't mean he doesn't like anyone Durrrrrcy drafted. |

"Duuuurcy" as you call him has his team in 2 nd place in the Pacific division.

Problems: No secondary scoring, under performing vets, goaltending, need that one extra save. Lost too many one goal games.
Pluses: Eichel, Reinhart, Risto.
Might as well finish at the bottom this season. |

Man, a handful of you people are way too negative all the time. Do we have a similar record as last year? Yes. Is there dead weight on this team? Yes. However, you can't tell me TM doesn't plan on making the necessary adjustments when the time is appropriate. The stats alone show significant improvement in almost all facets of our game and it won't be long until we're competing again. I for one enjoy the fact that we have 2-3 players 24 and under that all have star potential. Have a little faith. I can't even imagine what some people would be saying right now had we lost the Eichel race last year. Just give it time. Would one more top 5 pick in our home arena really be that horrible? |

One thing I will say is that the big trade a lot of folks are pissed over (Lehner) is the main reason we are not higher in the standings now. If Chad Johnson is carrying the bulk of the workload, your team better be putting up 3-4 goals a night, otherwise wins will not come consistently. Lehner WILL be an upgrade in net, given time to get back and in the swing of things, maybe by March God willing.
Until then, I am content--note: not happy--with the way things have been. We will lose more one-goal games with a career backup as our starter than we will win.
Anyone who says this team is not better than last 2 years, by leaps and bounds, ignores stats that show we are much improved in possesion, shots on goal, shots against, 5 on 5....and "watchability". I barely made it through a handful of complete games last year simply because being down by 2 and outshot 40-16, AND knowing deep down there was NO chance of a comeback, ALMOST every night after 2 periods got so fvcking old. |

Why is it that whenever someone argues something negative about the team they are invariably attacked personally? Because it is easier than dealing with their argument? People aren't allowed to have opinions that don't match your own?

the team really was directionless under lindy. We had a team that made the playoffs and were bounced out by philly so darcy adds leino, erhoff and regher and we didnt even make the playoffs. Darcy really was clueless. yeah he won trades , sorta but 99% of the trades we never really got better from. Just more mediocre. Teams that win stanley cups have dominant players and myrray traded for players that one can argue are dominant. so yes we did give away alot for them but we did get what we want. Darcy would never do that and thats why we were just mediocre under him. |

It's a crappy contract, for sure. But he is far from alone in the underachieving department on this team. At least his adopted son hasn't been in the headlines for any nefarious reasons, so there's that... he's a 5 million $ babysitter. |
