I personally really like DeBrincat... only 5'7 but damn can he put the puck in the net. He is more in the 15 range though.
I think a lot of us don't realize that Baptiste, Bailey, and Fashing are all projecting as 2nd line guys. Might not need to go outside the organization or add another blue chipper. - JVince11
Haven't these guys underwhelmed? I know there's no center down there and Rochester isn't the greatest but they aren't setting the world on fire looking like NHL ready players. Especially Baptiste, each time I hear of him someone tells me that people that watch the Amerks on a daily basis have him falling out of favor.
I'm excited for Fasching but he's also on Minnesota. Want to see him in the AHL before I get my hopes up too much |

Their performance in Rochester has created some questions. I don't watch the games but the WGR guys who cover it called Baptiste an AHL scorer. Fasching probably prjoects better as a 3rd liner than top 6. - Sabresfan-365
I'm with you....
14 pts in 32 games is not lighting it up...
Bailey is at 12 in 33 games too.
I REFUSE to agree with that about Fasching. Dude has gotten better and better each year in Minnesota. he is a PPG player in B10 hockey. Already has 9 goals in 17 games this year. |

If we trade mcCabe then it would be NO DOUBT in my mind that we would need to draft a 1st rounder D-Men - JVince11
Not in the 1st round depending on where they are selecting.
Moving McCabe, who before Pysyk got hurt was playing a 4/5/6 role. You can get those in FA. Unless you think he is going to keep getting better.
I think you could draft D in the 2nd round and be fine |

It's the skating i think that will hold him back. Not that it's bad, just not sure it's good enough. I will be ecstatic if im wrong, because i really do like his game. |

Add McCabe get a 3rd rounder back and I would think hard about it or Ennis and McCabe for Drouin and Carle no picks involved.
Still would have to think about it.
The blueline is getting pretty crowded
Risto, Gorges, McCabe, Pysyk, Bogosian, Franson, Weber, Colio
trading the cap hit of Ennis for the cap hit of Carle (while he stinks) you could still make a play for Yandle...losing McCabe might not kill us but I have really liked his game and I am surprised with his offensive ability, he doesn't shy from jumping up in the play. - Stripes77
This is likely only my thought but unless a sure fire top line winger or top 2 D are coming back, I am done offloading our young assest, whether that be young NHL level players, prospects, or first 2 round picks. |

The big thing on Fasching is his skating. If his skating keeps improving then I am not nearly as worried about his game transitioning to the pro level

the blueprint says build on the dot and top 4 D
based on that theory, we need to get 1 or 2 more top 4 d men and then draft speedy wingers later in the draft to plug on the cheap |

I am not moving our 1st at all this year unless you're talking Tarasenko is coming this way.
I have really liked McCabes game however the organization is so weak on top 6 wingers that I wouldn't mind trading him for a player with that potential in this case Drouin

I feel like everyone says that everyone coming up has skating issues. Only the few amazing guys have elite skating in minors and college I feel like. Everyone has to work on their skating.
I'm not saying he will be like Doan or Lucic or some big time power forward top flight scoring winger on our top line. I said between Fasching, Bailey, and Baptiste... I think we will have a 2nd line winger with more scoring upside so that Girgensons can return to his natural shut down 3C. |

I think they just need a suitable partner for Risto. Last two drafts have given us some decent defensemen. It's not like the pro group is bad either, just plalying above their capabilities at the moment. |

Fasching's hands for a big boy are remarkable.
However if his skating doesn't transition to the pro game we have a young Matt Moulson who can't keep up just a bigger version |

3rd line could be Fasching - Girgensons - Larrson. That'd be a fun line to watch imo |

seems prime for the picking IMO... |

He keeps playing this well on Eichel's wing that may become his position. I still have hopes for Larsson as our 3C, he's looked good when put at centre. |

I count Eichel, ROR, Reinhart, and Kane as 4 of the top 6 for the long haul. Need to fined that 2 more.. Most thought Ennis would be one. Girgensons could be counted as #5 as well.
If we are talking top 4... I count Risto as #1/2 and Bogo as #3/4. Psysk could be #4. I think we still need help in our top 4 D-men. |

I could very well be wrong on this, but I believe Pysyk and McCabe, combined with Ristolainen, comprise 3 of our 4 top four D going forward.
Getting one more, as you said, along with hoping that one or more of Guhle, Martin, Florentino make a bottom pairing impact could set the team up for the future very well. |

Oh do I have stories about that guy...when I first started working the prospect scrimmages he was the biggest d bag on the planet.
Kevyn Adams was his "coach" for the game and he was telling us stripes that nobody likes the guy and he has all the tools just a poop for brains with a bad attitude. |
